Later, she learned that the cause of the fire was caused by the old man's unpaid electricity bill and lighting candles, so she used a few days to talk with the old man about family life, and also helped the old man successfully stay in the nursing home, solving the old man's worries.
Ms. Ba, 63 years old this year, is a member of the "Five Departments" and "Seven Members" brand studio of the New Era Civilization Practice Center in Honggu District. Since 2023, in order to improve the effectiveness of the "five departments" and "seven members" brand studios of the New Era Civilization Practice Center and better serve community residents, the brand studios of the New Era Civilization Practice Center in Honggu District have adopted different service methods according to the actual situation of the service objects, improved the service level, and expanded the effectiveness of doing practical things for the people, which has been praised by the community residents.
According to the current situation that there are many elderly people in the community and prominent contradictions in life, the New Era Civilization Practice Station of Xiayao Community, Yaojie Street, has created a volunteer service team for the elderly to help the elderly, with the elderly, disabled, lonely, living alone, empty nest and other elderly people as the key service objects, implementing the "old partner" plan of one-to-one pairing assistance, and adopting various forms such as "social worker volunteering", "mutual aid volunteering" and "neighborly volunteering" to promote the effective implementation of the "for the elderly" volunteer service project. In particular, combined with the actual needs of the elderly groups in the jurisdiction, we regularly visit the elderly who live alone and are in difficulty, and carry out volunteer service activities such as providing loving companionship, psychological counseling, and spiritual comfort on a regular basis, which are well received by the elderly. Up to now, 75 volunteers of the volunteer service group have visited the elderly 218 times and carried out 82 public welfare activities.
