TÜV Low Blue Light Certification is a certification service launched by TÜV SÜD to test whether the blue light ratio and blue light radiation level of display products meet the certification requirements to ensure the user's eye health. This certification is based on the photobiohazard standard for display products, which measure the ratio of the amount of blue light radiation emitted to the total spectrum radiation energy of visible light. Products with this certification can achieve an exemption level (RG0) when evaluated for photobiological levels in normal display mode, which means that there is less risk of retinal damage when used for long periods of time.

The test items of TÜV Low Blue Light certification mainly include the following aspects:

Spectral radiation test: This test is used to measure the specific radiant intensity of a product in the blue light band. Through accurate measurements, it is possible to determine whether the product has a low blue light radiation and thus meets the criteria for low blue light products.

Blue light hazard assessmentThis link mainly evaluates the potential harm of blue light radiation to the human eye. This includes testing the blue light radiation levels of the product under different conditions of use to confirm that it meets the requirements for low blue light.

Color temperature test: Color temperature is a physical quantity that describes the color of a light source. Low blue light products typically have a warmer color temperature, so the test measures the color temperature of the product to ensure that it is within the appropriate range, such as between 3000K and 4000K.

Brightness uniformity test: This test is designed to evaluate whether the light distribution of the light source of the product is uniform. A product with uniform brightness distribution ensures that users can get a good visual experience when viewing from different angles.

Blue light ratio and blue light radiation level test: This is the core test item in the low blue light certification, which visually demonstrates the low blue light characteristics of the product by measuring and calculating the blue light ratio and blue light radiation level of the product.
