Shen Zui, a Kuomintang agent, pointed out that some key plots were missing from the book, especially the lack of clarity in the details of Sister Jiang's interrogation. In fact, Shen Zui was a subordinate of the spy Xu Yuanju and knew Sister Jiang's interrogation process well.
The authors of Red Rock are Luo Guangbin and Yang Yiyan, both of whom were revolutionaries who were captured by spies on the eve of the Liberation War and imprisoned in the Dregs Cave. They experienced the cruelty of the spies and were determined to record this history as a warning to future generations.
Sister Jiang, whose real name is Jiang Zhujun, is a brave Communist Party member who fought bravely for the revolutionary cause. After being captured by the spies, she went through all kinds of suffering, but she still persevered and fought against the atrocities of the spies. During the interrogation, her strength and resourcefulness inflicted anger and shame on the agents.
However, in the book "Red Rock", Xu Pengfei's behavior as a spy was not fully displayed, especially the details of Sister Jiang's interrogation were not clear enough. Shen Zui, as a first-hand witness, questioned this point.
This kind of questioning is not a denial of the author, but hopes that through the true record of history, readers can have a deeper understanding of the hardships and sacrifices of revolutionaries. Luo Guangbin and Yang Yiyan also humbly accepted Shen Zui's opinions, respected historical facts, and finally made the book more perfect.
