According to foreign media reports, Stellantis' luxury brand Maserati will transform into a pure electric brand by 2028, and the company's current goal is to prove that its internal combustion engine models still have the strength to compete with competitors such as Ferrari, Bentley and Mercedes-Benz.
Maserati has launched an internal combustion engine version of the Grancabrio Roadster. The Grancabrio is the soft-top version of the Granturismo large sports car released by Maserati in 2023. At launch, Granturismo also introduced a Trefeuo sedan, a six-cylinder 30-liter twin-turbo Nettuno engine with a maximum output of 542 hp.

The Grancabrio has the same technical specifications as the Granturismo Trofeo Edition, but is slightly slower due to the heavier weight of the fabric folding roof unit.
The grancabrio has a top speed of 316 kmh, while the granturismo has a top speed of 320 kmh. The grancabrio has a 0-hundred-hundredth acceleration time of 36 seconds, which is 0 slower than granturismo1 second. In terms of weight, the Grancabrio is 1,895 kilograms, which is 100 kilograms heavier than the Grancoupe, and the extra weight comes mainly from the roof and storage system.

The grancabrio starts at €235,800 in Italy, which is €8,700 more than the Granturismo. Grancabrio's main competitors include the Ferrari Roma Spider, the Bentley Continental GTC and the Mercedes-Benz AMG 63 Convertible.
Maserati says the all-electric version of the Grancabrio will be available this summer. Last year, the company unveiled its first all-electric vehicle, the Granturismo Folgore.
