Showa decade (1935).Genji AkiyamaHe was drafted into the army and became a soldier in the 1st Brigade of the 33rd Wing of the 16th Division of the Japanese Army. Two years later, Akiyama participated in the encirclement of Nanjing with his troopsI wrote down some of my experiences in Nanjing.

The battle in Purple Mountain was very fierce, and Akiyama's brigade was very heavy, with an average of more than 10 people killed in one team. The Purple Mountain was finally taken, and from the top of the Purple Mountain, you could see the city of Nanjing, and at dawn all the Japanese soldiers ran down the mountain.

The wing pursued all the way to Xiaguan, and the leader of the detachment ordered not to care about the wounded soldiers even if they died, and everyone concentrated their efforts on pursuing the routed soldiers to Xiaguan. Hundreds of routers surrendered, they were pulled to the river and machine-gunnedCountless corpses were left on the riverside.

After the Japanese attack on Nanjing was swept away, the wing entered the city from the place where the city wall had collapsed, and Akiyama saw many Chinese corpses on the road, all of them killed by guns and bombs dropped by planes. The corpses in the moat were piled up on top of each otherThe water of the river has become strangely stinky, the division commander ordered the bodies to be buried.

The pit where the bodies were buried was dug by Chinese captives, and they were dug on the spot just outside the city gates, and the bodies were gathered like a hill. There were several pits, the mouth of which was the size of a door and the size of two rooms, and the pit was soon filled with corpses. The corpses were piled out of the pit, and the mountains were formed on top of each other. There are so many corpses that they stink too much if they are not disposed of.

The day after the Japanese captured the Nanjing Gate, they continued to sweep, not on the mountain, but in the city. More than 1,000 people, both men and women, were caught in the sweep. The woman was sent away on the spot, and no one knew where she was going, only to find out later that she was sent to the comfort station. The rest of the men were tied to their hands with ropes and pulled by car to Shimonoseki to deal with them.

Dealing with the captives was actually killing them, lining them up in groups of five and then killing them one by one with knives or guns. Later, when he thought it was too strenuous, he fired at the crowd with machine guns, and the bodies of this group of prisoners were not burned with gasolineThe detachment leader said that he was looking for "stand-ins" for the dead people in the squadron, and killing them was to take revenge.

Such a reason for killing is absurd, just to find a reasonable excuse for the mission. The actual situation is that the prisoners are worried about rebellion, and the prisoners have to eat every day, and the best way is to kill them directly, so that there will be a lot of unnecessary trouble, and this is what the division commanders thought.

Three days after the Japanese army pulled the corpses in a car, the brigade was ordered to pull a large number of prisoners from the city in cars, all dressed in thick black cotton jackets. When they got out of the truck, everyone was staggering, and a few got out of the truck and drank the muddy water. Judging by the situation at the time, they should have not eaten or drunk for four or five days.

There were about 500 or so captives, who were ordered to sit on the banks of the Yangtze River. Four or five heavy machine guns were already in position behind them, just waiting for the captain to give the order to shoot. The captives should not know that they are going to shootThey didn't even resist.

The machine gun squadron of corpses all over Nanjing City was 50 meters away from the prisoners, and the sound of four heavy machine guns at the same time suddenly sounded, and the machine gun sound of "Da Da" was a note of urgency, and the prisoners continued to fall down with the sound of gunfire.

When the machine guns rang out, some people stood up and tried to escape, but the Japanese soldiers standing guard around them opened fire on those who tried to escape, killing them on the riverside. The bullet hit the clothes, and the white cotton wool flew out, and the cotton wool was quickly stained with blood, and it flew in the air in large balls.

The bodies of the captives were piled up in place, without any other treatment, because the river would take them all away. After completing this **mission, Akiyama never performed this kind of collective ** task again, and these two ** tasks made his hands stained with blood and witnessed the cruelty of the big **.

The Chinese under the Japanese army who died tragically were stationed in schools in the refugee area of the city for more than a month, and the detachment often went out to collect food. Many people sometimes go to ask for "meat", that is, to find women. This was allowed by the detachment leader, but he warned that two or three people should go together and not act alone.

The Japanese soldiers were all two or three people acting together, and the supplies had not yet been distributed to the front line at that time, so they could only solve the problem of eating and drinking on the spot, and by the way, solve their personal needs. Many people, both men and women, who were hiding in the house, were struggling to surviveBut as soon as a fire is put on it, they will come out and surrender.

For the requisition of girls, at first it was a house-to-house search, setting fire to force people out and then taking the women away, and the men were either killed on the spot or taken prisoner. The woman was spoiled by the soldiers on the spot, and then bring it back to the detachment and distribute it to other soldiers for "comfort", of course, many times it is killed on the spot, because they don't want to get into trouble.

On the 10th day after the fall of Nanjing, it was difficult to find women on the streets, so Akiyama and others carried rice pots to the refugee area to exchange women. A woman who is dying of hunger sees food and no longer thinks about anything else, only about being able to live. In this way, they exchanged leftovers for quite a few womenThese women are at their disposal.

Later, comfort stations were established in the city, and every soldier of the detachment went, most of whom were Chinese. The military ticket issued by the army will be found to *** at least two or three times a month. There are also many comfort stations on the main road, and the cost is very cheap. The comfort station for officers is located on the other side, and the location is quite hidden.

The women's comfort station in Nanjing lined up in a big line, and then the soldiers lined up in a long row there. When it's over, say "handover" and "handover".There are a lot of Chinese girls in the comfort station, all of them are girls from the city. Later, there was also after the situation stabilizedHer parents took her to the comfort station, so that the whole family could eat and not starve to death, there was no way at that time.

This cruelty is played out every day, and with the brutal war and the threat of death, anything becomes so plausible that no one will think that this is wrong. In fact, it is very cruel and very inhumane to do so. Later, Matsui Ishine and other commanders were held accountable and executed, which is enough to prove that the Japanese army committed a heinous crime.

Comfort station for the Japanese armyWrite at the end:

The above are the diaries written by Genji Akiyama during his time in Nanjing, and these three events are facts that he personally participated in witnessing, and these facts testify to the atrocities committed by the Japanese army in the city of Nanjing, and to the hands of the Japanese army, from officers to soldiers, were stained with Chinese blood.

The history of humiliation is not far away, and the cruel past recorded in Akiyama's diary is still shocking, and every conscientious Chinese should remember this history of humiliation and remember this history of humiliation and pain. We should cherish the existing peace, be vigilant and stop the war, so as to avoid the recurrence of the tragedy ......
