Wary! A 30-year-old man "ate" severe pancreatitis for more than half a year and was admitted to the ICU! Doctor: It's a terrible habit.

Recently, a news about a 30-year-old man with severe pancreatitis caused by poor eating habits has attracted widespread attention. For more than half a year, the man ate takeout almost every day, especially high-fat foods, and frequently drank a lot of liquor. Eventually, his lifestyle taught him a painful lesson – he was rushed to the ICU and died.

It is reported that the man is from Gansu and came to Hangzhou to work in the first half of last year. In order to save trouble, he almost never cooks, and relies on takeout for three meals a day. And most of the takeaways he ordered were cooked foods with heavy oil and salt. Not only that, but he also developed the habit of having dinner with colleagues after work and drinking a lot of alcohol, drinking a kilogram of liquor every time.

However, behind this seemingly comfortable life, there are huge health risks. After six months of unhealthy diet and alcoholism, the man's weight soared to more than 170 kilograms, and his body gradually became unwell. It wasn't until after a dinner with friends that he suddenly had severe abdominal pain and was rushed to the First People's Hospital of Hangzhou.

After examination, the doctor found that the man's blood was "oil-colored", commonly known as "milk blood", and the triglyceride content was as high as 34mmol L, which was 20 times the normal value! Combined with the results of abdominal CT examination, the doctor clearly diagnosed hyperlipidemic severe acute pancreatitis.

This case is another wake-up call: poor eating habits and lifestyles are becoming the biggest killer of young people's health.

Yang Jianfeng, director of the Department of Gastroenterology of Hangzhou First People's Hospital, said that winter is the season of high incidence of acute pancreatitis, and from the end of last year to after the Spring Festival, the number of patients with severe pancreatitis has increased significantly, and most of the patients are young people around 30 years old. The common characteristics of these patients are irregular diet, preference for takeout, and alcoholism.

Mr Yeung reminded the general public that for the sake of health, the intake of takeaway food should be minimized and the proportion of fresh fruits and vegetables should be increased. At the same time, it is necessary to moderately control the intake of alcohol to avoid the harm of excessive alcohol consumption to the body. In addition, regular physical examinations should be carried out to detect and develop potential diseases such as biliary stones in time to prevent the occurrence of acute pancreatitis.

The incident also triggered a reflection on young people's health concepts. Experts call on young people to establish a correct concept of health and develop good living habits and eating habits. While pursuing convenience and deliciousness, we should also pay attention to the nutrition and health of food. Only a healthy lifestyle can keep us away from diseases and enjoy a good life.

Finally, we would like to send a warning to young people who are paying the price for their health: cherish life and care for health! From now on, change bad habits and let's work together to build a better future for health!
