Confucius said that when you see a virtuous person, you should learn from him. When you see a virtuous person, you should reflect on whether you have the same problems as him. Confucius was open-minded, and no matter whether the people who traveled with him were good or bad, both virtuous and immoral people could be taught as teachers to strengthen their moral cultivation.
