According to Japanese media reports, Fivecross announced that it has received investment from Shueisha Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shueisha"), Japan's largest comprehensive publishing house.

Founded in September 2020 by Gu Qianjun, the former CEO of Dena Greater China, FiveCross is mainly engaged in global game publishing and IP game co-development business, focusing on obtaining high-quality IP licenses from Japan, co-developing with Chinese game developers, and publishing high-quality IP licensed games to global markets including the Japanese market.
It is reported that "Kuroko's Basketball Street Rivals" is the first successful case of its core strategy of "well-known IP in Japan + Made in China + global distribution". The mobile game is adapted from the popular basketball manga of the same name, Kuroko's Basketball. The manga was published at Shueisha and was created by Tadashi Fujimaki.
Since November 2023, the mobile game "Kuroko's Basketball Street Rivals" has been released in Japan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, with a total of more than 2 million users, and has achieved excellent results on the App Store's best-selling game list, ranking 13th in Japan, 3rd in Taiwan, and 1st in Hong Kong. The game will be launched in South Korea, Southeast Asia and Chinese mainland.
As we all know, Shueisha, as the largest publishing house in Japan, can be said to be the source of many well-known anime IPs, with well-known anime magazines such as "Weekly Shonen Jump".
It is reported that FiveCross has already stockpiled some new projects, and this financing will further strengthen its global IP game publishing business.
