Recently, following the school's recommendation, dialogue "double entry" and the first round of selection, 92 high school students from the district came to the Shanghai Academician Hall to participate in the two-way interview of the 14th Yangpu District high school students entering the academician team and colleges and universities to carry out scientific research activities, and had in-depth exchanges with the tutors.

Under the background of the comprehensive reform of education in Shanghai and the creation of the Basic Education Innovation Experimental Zone in Yangpu, since 2011, the Yangpu District Youth Science and Technology Station has organized and carried out the activities of high school students in Yangpu District to enter the academician team and colleges and universities to carry out scientific research ("double entry" ** activity), so that high school students in the district have the opportunity to get close to academicians, enter colleges and universities to carry out scientific and technological innovation activities, learn scientific research methods, and experience the whole process of scientific research.

Two-way interviews are a major feature of the "Double Entry" activity, and each high school student participating in the activity can choose to communicate and interact with the tutors of up to 4 cultivation bases in turn based on project design and interests, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their scientific expression skills and logical thinking level.

The tutors have one-on-one or many-to-one in-depth conversations with the candidates, provide professional advice on the students' topic ideas, and further introduce the research fields of the base tutors and the equipment and conditions of the laboratory. Through comprehensive investigation and measurement, the base tutor selects his favorite student among the students interviewed on the same day.

In the waiting area, students can often be seen seriously bowing their heads to discuss or think, and some students got advice from the tutor at the first interview base, and then immediately rethought and improved their own topics, which left a good impression on the expert tutor. After face-to-face communication with several tutors, the students were more clear about their goals and completed the day's activities with the expectation of joining their favorite base. It is reported that the students who have passed the two-way interview will enter the follow-up trial teaching session. At present, a total of 46 students have been shortlisted for the trial teaching session, covering 12 high schools in the district. The specific time and method of trial teaching shall be determined by the teaching assistants of each base project after consultation with the tutors and pre-admitted students.
