Introduction to spray dryers.
The spray dryer is a kind of continuous atmospheric dryer. The liquid material is sprayed into a mist with special equipment and dried in contact with hot air. It is used to dry some heat-sensitive liquids, suspensions and viscous liquids, such as milk, eggs, tannins and medicines. It is also used for drying fuels, intermediates, soap powder and inorganic salts, etc.
Spray dryer classification.
LPG high-speed centrifugal spray dryer.
Working principle The air is filtered and heated into the air distributor at the top of the dryer, and the hot air enters the drying chamber evenly in a spiral. The material liquid is sprayed into very fine mist liquid beads through the high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower body, which can be dried into the finished product in a very short time in contact with the hot air. The finished product is continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and in the cyclone, and the exhaust gas is emptied by the induced draft fan.
Product features The drying speed is fast, the surface area of the material liquid is greatly increased after atomization, and 95%-98% of the water can be evaporated in an instant in the hot air flow, and the drying time only takes a few seconds to complete, which is especially suitable for the drying of heat-sensitive materials.
The product has good uniformity, fluidity and solubility, high product purity, simplified production process, and convenient operation and control. For the liquid with a moisture content of 40-60% (up to 90% for special materials), it can be dried into powder products at one time, and there is no need to crush and screen after drying, reducing the production process and improving the purity of the product. The particle size, bulk density and moisture of the product can be adjusted by changing the operating conditions within a certain range, and it is easy to control and manage.
