IT Home reported on March 2 that Microsoft recently released a blog announcing that Windows 11's AI assistant Copilot will receive a number of skill upgrades.
According to reports, these new features are built on the Copilot keys of the Windows 11 PC keyboard. Microsoft has updated the Copilot icon on the taskbar, as well as bringing the ability to dock, undock, and resize the Copilot window.
With Copilot in Windows, users will be able to access some applications using plug-ins. For example, Copilot with the OpenTable plugin simply prompts Copilot to "create a healthy dinner menu for 8 people". When users are ready to make a purchase, Copilot's Instacart plugin can help them make a purchase.
Over the next month, in addition to the OpenTable and Instacart plugins, Microsoft will also add new ways to connect and complete the work of partners, such as Shopify, Klarna, and Kayak.
Starting in late March, users will see the following new skills in the Copilot In Windows experience. For example, enter "Enable power saving mode" or "Turn off power saving mode".
IT Home summarizes the actions that Copilot will support:

Clipchamp mute removal preview: People often have gaps in their daily conversations, but they look awkward in ** and need to be manually removed. With the new Clipchamp Mute Removal feature, you can automatically clear these mute gaps in your audio tracks.
Voice Shortcuts: With the new voice shortcuts to save your voice and complete tasks faster, users can now create custom commands to quickly complete what they want to do with just a single phrase.
Multi-screen display: To make it easier to navigate a multi-monitor setup, users can now use voice commands on connected external screens.
Microsoft says that most of the new features will be enabled by default in the optional non-security preview of all versions of Windows 11 (23H2 and 22H2) in March 2024. Security updates are expected to be released by April 2024 and will be widely available on all eligible devices.
