Six Sigma (DMAI).Pioneered by Motorola and further refined by Welch's introduction of CE, a method that focuses on both the design process and the manufacturing process. Through process definition, measurement, analysis, improvement, and control (CANTRD), the aim is to control defects in the manufacturing process to near zero and make defects predictable. The Six Sigma goal is to reduce the long-term defect rate to less than 3.4 parts per million. The focus: to improve the efficiency of the process to ensure that products and services are close to zero defects in the long term!
Benchmarking methodDefinition: A method of identifying performance gaps between the Organization and the best external organizations, analyzing the causes, and promoting improvement. It is similar to the "comparing, learning, catching up, surpassing, and helping" activities that China promoted throughout the country in the 60s. The difference is that the "benchmark" chosen for quality management requirements is usually the "champion" of the industry on a global scale.
Experimental Analysis (PDSA).--Definition: A method that identifies the "root causes" and those changes that are likely to improve the process or process outcomes through an experimental approach, and implements these changes to see if they are effective in achieving the improvement goals**. It is a fast-cycling change and control tool, mainly used for:The root cause of a particular problemAnalytics, which are used to solve sudden and routine problems.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Definition: An effective way to identify the root cause of an incidental problem in the process of solving a product or service. It follows four steps: identify, diagnose, correct, and consolidate results.
Performance Managerment MethodDefinition: A systematic, data-driven employee management strategy that uses positive psychological reinforcement as the primary means of improving performance.
Hazard Critical Point Control (HACCP).--: It is a safety control system and method for hazard analysis and critical control points to identify, evaluate and prevent safety hazards. It has been widely used in food, medicine, cosmetics and high-risk industries (petroleum, mining, space carriers, transportation, chemical warehouses, and ammunition management), and has been introduced into food, beverage, and beverage industry standards by ISO (International Standards Organization).
