What is a pile foundation?
First understand two concepts, foundation and foundation.
A foundation is the part of a building or structure (an artificial structure or artificial structure, that is, processed by man) that is buried below the ground. Pile foundation belongs to the foundation.
A foundation is a rock or soil mass (natural) that supports the foundation. Look at the picture and speak:
foundations and pile foundations.
The ultimate bearing capacity of a single pile is the maximum bearing capacity when the pile foundation is damaged. We measure it today with a static load test.
The static load test device tests the bearing capacity.
The left of the above picture is the anchor pile reaction device, and the right of the above picture is the ballast platform reaction device.
There are two formulas for determining the ultimate load of a single pile:
First, the P-S curve method, check the curve obvious turning is the ultimate load.
Point B is the point of destruction.
The PS method has three stages, namely compaction, local shearing, and destruction.
2. The settlement rate method, also known as the logarithmic curve of the settlement time, is an auxiliary method of the PS curve.
This method obtains a straight line, and when a straight line appears a broken line, the upper load corresponding to the broken line is the ultimate load.
After the ultimate load is calculated by the above two curve methods, the ultimate load is divided by a safety factor, which is equal to the allowable bearing capacity of a single pile.
