From February 28th to March 2nd, the 2024 (2nd) Pickup Ice and Snow Driving Experience Camp and Cold Area Off-road Challenge was successfully held at the Xiaowusli Test Base in the Red River Valley, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province. The professional and objective extreme cold evaluation and the passionate off-road challenge ignited everyone's dream of pickup trucks.
At the opening ceremony, Jing Quan, deputy mayor of Heihe City, Diao Weidong, second-level inspector of Heihe City, Tao Tao, chairman of Heilongjiang Red River Valley, Zhao Xinhong, general manager of Heilongjiang Red River Valley, and Gu Guoquan, CEO and editor-in-chief of China Pickup Network, attended the ceremony, and witnessed the opening of the only ice and snow driving control activity project for pickup truck models in China together with more than 20 well-known domestic ** and dozens of car owner representatives.

On the first day of the event, CAERI relied on a variety of equipment to fairly and impartially record the safety of the vehicle, including braking safety, emergency obstacle avoidance, etc., the handling of starting acceleration on ice and snow roads, the cold resistance of vehicle preheating, cold and hot start response speed, etc., and took the lead in completing the ice and snow extreme cold test of 8 pickup trucks in this event. These parameters are objective data with strong correlation between cold climate and region, which can very intuitively reflect the vehicle performance of domestic pickup trucks under extreme conditions, and are also the performance that consumers in cold areas are most concerned about.
As a "bridge" between enterprises and users, it will also help users understand the specific performance of pickups in cold environments as much as possible, and break the "cognitive bias" of pickups in the eyes of users. Of course, ice and snow cars seem simple and enjoyable, but in fact, due to the extremely low adhesion of the road surface and the greater difficulty coefficient, higher requirements are put forward for the driver.
