Norco is no stranger to building high-turn models – the Aurum HSP downhill kicked off more than six years ago, followed by Shore and Range. In 2024, with the launch of the new Sight and its shorter-range counterpart, the Optic, the structure's mountain bike styling continues.
The Sight retains the 150mm rear travel and 160mm fork specs, but the rear suspension now features a high-mounted HORST linkage layout, as well as the addition of a guide sprocket. The Sight is available in carbon and aluminum frame versions, and users can also choose between 29-inch or hybrid wheel configurations.
The high turn point is the most noticeable change to the SIGHT, and the frame design itself is fairly straight, with small details on modern off-road bikes. Inner routing, front triangle space, upper tube tool bracket, frame protection rubber, etc. The geometry is almost identical between the 29-inch and mixed-wheel models.
The high guide pulley also has a small guide extension that helps ensure that the chain does not get caught over. There is also an optional custom chain guide that wraps around the bottom of the platen for further chain stabilization. One feature that the new car lacks is the internal storage compartment, which adds some extra weight.
*Sight's REACH ranges from 422mm to 522mm, with a 64-degree head tube angle and a 77-78 degree seat tube angle. Compared to the old Sight, the new car has reduced leverage for more support. According to Norco engineers, "The idler pulley is mounted on a bracket that is separate from the main pivot and is able to fine-tune the anti-squat characteristics.
*Sight prices range from $5,399 to $11,499 depending on configuration.
