The 24 solar terms are a supplementary calendar established by the ancients on the basis of observing nature to guide agricultural work. The "Seed Awakening Program" planting activity is a labor education practice activity based on hands-on experience planting for primary, junior and senior high school students who love planting under the guidance of the 24 solar terms.
By experiencing the life journey of seeds, students can experience the hard work and fun of planting, and in this process, students can record planting in the form of text and **, nature notes, micro-photography, etc.

Event time. 
Recruitment Notice. Scope of recruitment: Elementary, middle and high school students who love planting. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Plant seeds are available for free at this event. There are more than 10 types of seeds, including flowers, vegetables, and crops. Each student can pick two for planting.
Pick up time: 39 (Sat.) 10 (Sun). 9:30-11:30 a.m., 13:30-15:30 p.m., please use the screenshot of the event announcement to receive seeds, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pick-up location: Exit of the West Gate of the National Museum of Natural History.
In order to encourage students to persist in observing and recording, students who can submit planting records on time at each node and receive good or above evaluations can have the opportunity to participate in the special solar term activities of the National Museum of Natural History once, and the students with excellent final evaluation will be awarded the "Seed Awakening" medal.

The recruitment of volunteers for the Beijing Planetarium in 2024 has been launched, and the open recruitment of 5 positions: "Volunteer Explanation", "Popular Science Drama", "Photography and Videography", "* Design" and "Venue Service".
1. Basic requirements for registration.
1.Love museums and popular science, dedication, enthusiasm, patience, teamwork spirit;
2.Age: 18 to 65 years old (physically and mentally healthy);
3.Education level: high school degree or above;
4.Have certain language skills, speak clearly, and use standard Mandarin;
5.Comply with national laws and regulations, and the relevant management norms of Beijing Planetarium and Beijing Planetarium Volunteer Service;
6.Have sufficient time and be able to complete the work assigned by the volunteer service team regularly and quantitatively;
7.Preference will be given to those who meet the following criteria:
1) Volunteer service experience in Beijing Planetarium;
2) Humanities (literature, art, "design, painting, visual expression, stage plays, directing, acting, dance, photography, broadcasting and hosting, etc."), social sciences (society, education, management), journalism (shooting, editing, etc.), foreign languages, astronomy, etc.;
3) Volunteers with 4-star rating or above in Beijing;

3. Service time requirements.
1.Volunteer service hours include: weekends, winter and summer vacations and national holidays;
2.No less than 4 times per quarter, with a duration of not less than 4 hours each time, and no less than 60 hours of service in 2024;
3.Volunteers who do not meet the time limit on December 31 will leave the team automatically, and they will need to re-apply and pass the assessment in the next year before they can join the team.
4. The rights of volunteers.
1.Free admission to the exhibitions in Planetarium A and B;
2.Participate in the training, learning, and team building organized by the "Great Mars" volunteer service team;
3.Volunteers who have served 60 hours a year and are proactive and have received good social responses can issue a certificate of volunteer service;
4.At the end of the year, the Beijing Planetarium will hold a volunteer service summary and commendation meeting, and the "Beijing Planetarium Volunteer Service Certificate" will be awarded to the outstanding volunteer representatives.

Beijing Ancient Observatory is located in No. 2, Dongjiaoshu Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing, was built in the seventh year of Ming orthodoxy (1442 AD), is the Ming and Qing dynasties of the Royal Observatory, belongs to the Beijing Planetarium, 100 years ago the Chinese Astronomical Society was established here, is now a national key cultural relics protection unit.
