4. Dogtooth root is the most widely used warm-season turfgrass species in the south, which is extremely heat-resistant and drought-resistant, salt-alkali and flood-resistant, but not cold-resistant and shade-tolerant.
Dogtooth root grass species can be used for general greening, sports field lawns, highway slope protection and various soil and water conservation projects, and many improved varieties have been used for golf and other low-mow high-quality lawns. The recommended sowing amount is 10 15 grams of square meters, generally sowing in May and August, and the sowing depth is 06~1.2 cm. The emergence time is about 10-15 days. In climate transition zones such as East China, the dormant and yellowed dogtooth roots in winter can be sown with cool-season turfgrasses such as ryegrass.
5. White clover seeds are often sown and planted in mild and humid areas of China. Usually using small- and medium-to-medium-leaf varieties with smaller leaves, white clover species are not tolerant to severe cold and heat and persistent drought, and rely on wide stolons. In addition to single seeding, white clover can also be mixed with grass to build lawn, through white clover nitrogen fixation and redistribution, the lawn can be greener and healthier, so as to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, reduce environmental pollution, and obtain an ecological lawn.
