Recently, the world's first full-series, all-scenario 5G-A solution developed by Huawei was officially released. It is reported that the world is expected to achieve large-scale commercial use of 5G-A this year.

The 5G-A released this time is also called 55G, through the use of multi-carrier aggregation, lightweight, passive IoT and other technologies, can achieve significant improvements in capacity, speed, latency, positioning, reliability and other aspects compared with 5G, and is expected to achieve low-cost 100 billion IoT.

Jin Wei, Director of Huawei's Beijing Carrier Solution Sales Dept: 5G-A has achieved uplink gigabit and downlink 10 gigabit, which can be simply understood that from 4G to 5G, our experience has been improved by 10 times, and from 5G to 5G-A, our experience will be further improved by 10 times.

At present, China's operators have deployed 55G pilot network, a large number of public users and some industry users are expected to experience 55G services.

Jin Wei, Director of Huawei's Beijing Carrier Solution Sales Department: This year, many mobile phones will take the lead in supporting 5G-A technology, and we are exploring the introduction of new artificial intelligence technologies such as real-time translation and digital humans in the process of calling, and even in the future, the development of some applications similar to AR and VR will give everyone a better experience.

In addition, 55G also has a lot of new features, such as 55G supports 100 billion connections in all scenarios and capabilities, and can be connected from industrial-grade high-speed to large-scale passive IoT. It supports high-precision positioning and miniature sensor connectivity, greatly reducing the cost of the Internet of Things. 5.5G will also support millisecond-level latency and achieve centimeter-level positioning accuracy, while 5G can only achieve meter-level positioning accuracy in the early stage.

Xu Chang, communication industry researcher at China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute: In the process of evolution from 5G to 6G, 55G plays an important role in undertaking 5Compared with the initial stage of 5G, 5G's network capabilities such as connection rate and latency will be increased by 10 times, supporting the Internet industry's 3D, cloud-based, intelligent Internet of Everything, and integrated communication and perception.
