East China University of Political Science and Law is the first batch of higher political science and law schools founded in the People's Republic of China. In June 1952, with the approval of the East China Military and Political Commission, the law, political science and social departments of nine colleges and universities, including St. John's University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Soochow University, Xiamen University, Hujiang University, Anhui University, Shanghai University and Aurora University, merged to establish East China University of Political Science and Law on the site of St. John's University. In 1958, the school was merged into the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. In 1963, it was established again, and the following year it was enrolled; Enrollment ceased in 1966 and was revoked in 1972; In March 1979, with the approval of ***, the school was reopened for the second time. 1. Campus setting.
East China University of Political Science and Law has three campuses, located in Changning District, Songjiang District and Putuo District of Shanghai, covering an area of more than 750,000 square meters.
1.Changning Campus: Located at No. 1575 Wanhangdu Road, Changning District, Shanghai, it is the earliest campus of Huazheng. The Changning Campus is adjacent to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Hongqiao High-speed Railway Station, with convenient transportation and superior geographical location. 2.Songjiang Campus: Located at No. 555 Longyuan Road, Songjiang District, Shanghai, it is a newly built campus of Huazheng. The Songjiang campus mainly accommodates Huazheng's Law School, Economic Law School, International Financial Law School, Law School, Intellectual Property School, etc., as well as libraries, gymnasiums, swimming pools and other facilities.
3.Putuo Campus: Located at No. 1575 Wanhangdu Road, Putuo District, Shanghai, Putuo District, Shanghai is another campus of Huazheng. There are many bus lines around the Putuo campus, and the transportation is relatively convenient. The Putuo campus mainly accommodates Huazheng's business school, foreign language school, Marxist school, sociology department, etc., as well as some administrative institutions.
