Google's popular cloud storage service, Google Drive, has brought an important update for iOS users. Google Drive users on iOS can now filter their search by file type, file owner, and last modified date. According to a statement published last Friday by the Google Workspace Update blog, with this new feature, users will be able to find files more easily through drop-down menus that appear before and after searching.
Google says this update applies to Google Workspace for iOS customers, individual subscribers, and anyone with a personal Google Account. Although the feature has not yet been activated for Android users, it is worth noting that Google recently announced that it will bring the feature to the Android platform.
With this new filtering feature, browsing and searching for files becomes much more enjoyable if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. For example, if you're looking for a file stored on Google Drive but can't remember its name, just click File type, select Custom scope under Last modified, and search for the time period you last clicked on. Users eagerly wait for Google to update this feature so that it can be filtered using more criteria, such as file size or other date types.
Google's previous methods included filter suggestions and scrollable filters. But obviously, the drop-down menu is still the best. With this update, Google Drive users will be able to manage their files more efficiently and quickly on iOS devices. This innovation is an important step in improving the user experience of cloud storage.
