Whip Bulls reported that on March 2, according to foreign news reports, Jack Krawczyk, the head of Google's artificial intelligence product Gemini, has withdrawn from social networks such as X and Linkedin after the company's artificial intelligence image generator fell into trouble and became the target of online criticism
Crouchik, who is usually active on social media and is known for soliciting user feedback and praising Google products and colleagues, has removed identifying information and made some accounts private.
Krawczyk's official title is Senior Director of Product Management at Gemini, the company's primary AI model group.
According to people familiar with the matter, Crouchik is still working on Gemini products and holds the same title, despite lowering his public profile, but asked to be anonymous in order to talk about the issue.
Earlier this month, Google launched an AI image generator with Gemini. The tool allows users to enter prompts to create images, similar to how text-based services like ChatGPT generate complex responses and answers based on queries.
Within a few days of the release of the image engine, users discovered some historical errors and went viral. Google canceled the feature last week and plans to relaunch it in the coming weeks.
Just before the company removed the product, Krawczyk, the first Google leader to publish an article on X, said: "We are aware that Gemini is providing inaccurate information in some historical image generation descriptions, and we are working to address this issue immediately."
On Tuesday, AlphaBet CEO Sundar Pichai sent a memo to employees saying that Gemini's image generation issues were problematic and that they were offending our users and showing bias, adding that the situation was completely unacceptable.
By then, Crouchik had already received a lot of attention as reports resurfaced some of his old posts. Critics claimed without evidence that he had an anti-white agenda and included Crouchik's ** in their posts and replies.
Elon Musk, the CEO of X, who often attacks Google's business, amplifies those voices on his platform, specifically naming Crouchik.
Crouchik has since removed his own and any identifying information from the social platform.
