In recent years, the contest between Russia and the West in the international arena has been the focus of attention. In particular, Russia's missile capabilities, after several rounds of Western sanctions, have been able to continue to carry out large-scale air strikes, which has surprised many international observers. In November 2022, the EU confidently launched the 9th round of sanctions against Russia, and von der Leyen even claimed that it had "completely cut off" Russia's military-industrial chain. However, only a few months later, reality has given the West a resounding slap in the face - Russia's missiles have not only not decreased, but seem to be hitting more and more.
What is the secret behind this phenomenon? The deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Skibitsky, gave his opinion. In his opinion, Russia has flexibly adjusted its strategy in the conflict, using a large number of suicide drones to deplete Ukraine's air defenses, thereby creating conditions for a real missile attack. This shift in tactics not only allows Russia to effectively conserve missile resources, but also enables it to launch more destructive strikes at critical moments.
However, Skibitsky's statement does not fully answer people's doubts. After all, no matter how clever the tactics are, it is in vain not to have enough missile reserves. At this time, rumors began to surface about Russian "helpers". Initially, the West suspected that this "helper" came from a large country in the East, but after some reconnaissance, they did not find conclusive evidence.
Just when everyone was speculating, a new "helper" was ** - Iran. According to multiple Western and Iranian sources, Iran has provided Russia with at least 400 missiles, and more assistance is likely to be provided in the future. These missiles belong to the "fateh-110" family and have a range of 300 to 700 kilometers, which is enough to pose a serious threat to important targets on the territory of Ukraine.
Iran's assistance has undoubtedly provided Russia with new ammunition**, but this does not mean that Russia's military-industrial production has become completely dependent on external aid. In fact, Russia's military production capacity has increased significantly over the past few years. Despite a number of sanctions imposed by the West in an attempt to cut off Russia's access to military necessities such as sensitive electronic components, Russia's military production has remained on a certain scale.
So why does the United States and the West keep insisting that Russia has "helpers"? This is mainly due to the fact that although Russia's military production capacity has increased, it is still unable to meet all its military needs. Especially in terms of artillery shells, Russia consumed up to 7 million shells last year, while its annual military production capacity was only 2.5 million. This huge gap has forced Russia to seek external assistance to make up for its shortcomings.
In general, the reason why Russia is fighting more and more missiles is due to both the increase in its own military production capacity and external assistance from Iran and other factors. The reason why the United States and the West have been hyping up the topic of "Russia has helpers" is not only to find a breakthrough in sanctioning Russia, but also to cover up the lack of its own military production capacity. After all, in this fierce contest, no one wants to admit their weaknesses.
