Our Festival
In this world, there is always something to be awe-inspiring. They may be the shining stars of science, such as Bill Gates and Edison; or heroes who are selfless on the social stage, like Lei Feng. But what is also amazing are the women who work silently and hard to live in ordinary positions.
Historically, women have often been seen as inferior to men, especially those who have become mothers. However, since the beginning of the 21st century, as the concept of equality between men and women has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, the value and strength of women have gradually been recognized by society. More and more women, with their talents, independence and autonomy, are shining in all fields of the world, including those admirable mothers.
Today, I would like to make a special mention of women who work hard for their children, and although they may appear relatively vulnerable in the crowd, their motherly love and tenacity make them the strongest group. As the old saying goes: "Women are weak, but mothers are strong." "They are willing to turn their inner weakness and fear into strength to protect their children for the sake of their children.
I remember many years ago, I saw a ** and was deeply shocked. The woman in ** is petite, holding a child in one hand, a backpack in the other, and a backpack on her shoulder that is extremely incommensurate with her height and age. Now, years later, we learn that the child has passed away, but the mother is still smiling, determined, and hopeful about life. Her tenacity and belief have undoubtedly set an example for us.
Of course, not everyone has the same experience as this young mother, but when we see such a scene, there is always an irrepressible feeling in our hearts. This is not only because of her experience, but also because of the strength and courage she has shown. Just like Eason Chan's song "The Lonely Brave" sang: "Who said that only those who stand in the light are heroes, who says that those who play ordinary games are not heroes, and who says that those who are covered in mud are not heroes.......""They are also our heroes.
Although they may not have made earth-shattering deeds and left no achievements that will go down in history, they have written their own legends with their actions and maternal love. They are those heroes who give silently and do not ask for anything in return, and they deserve to be respected and remembered by each and every one of us. On a daily afternoon, as I was chatting with a colleague, she shared an impressive idea. In the midst of the pandemic, most people are actively getting their first or second dose of the vaccine to build a line of defense. However, she revealed that she had delayed vaccination for a special reason - she had just given birth to a baby, and she was breastfeeding, worried about the impact of the vaccine on the baby, so she chose to postpone the vaccination. However, as the pandemic continued, she became more and more worried that she would be infected and would not be able to continue to take care of her baby.
Her words were full of deep affection and worry for the baby, and she was afraid that her departure would leave the baby without support. That kind of cherishing of life and deep love for babies made me instantly feel the greatness and selflessness of maternal love. She mentioned that if she didn't have a baby before, maybe she wouldn't be so worried, but after having a baby, she cherishes her life more and is more afraid of losing it.
These words make me think back to the great mother who protected her child with her body when she was in Wenchuan. They have used their lives to build impenetrable barriers for us, so that we can thrive in the wind and rain.
Here, I would like to pay my highest tribute to all mothers. Whether you are ordinary or great, whether you have thousands of family assets or not, whether you are in the mud or not, you are all heroes in this world, and you are people worthy of our admiration and gratitude. Thank you for all that you have done for us, and may the world be kind to you a little more, and may you be treated gently by the world.
