Fast Technology News on March 5, today Steam officially announced that the update of buying, gifting games and marking games as private has now completed testing and has been launched on Steam for everyone.

According to the official introduction, the designated game will be marked as private and visible only to yourself, but no one else will be able to see it.

To put it simply, after a game is set to "private", in the eyes of other players, it means that you have not bought the game at all, so subsequent game achievements, game dynamics and other information will not be seen by others.

So you don't need to make your entire library private, so your friends can still see what games you're playing and join, and make only the few games visible to you.

And to protect your privacy, you can now mark your game as private before you buy it, so you can take control into your hands from the start.

In addition, the DLC of private apps will also be private by default, but players can also customize it in the app properties under the game's details page in the library.

When a player is playing a private game, a private badge at the top of the friends list will alert the player to be private.

Do you have a game in your Steam library that you want to set private?
