Recently, two Philippine coast guard vessels, an official ship and a replenishment vessel illegally intruded into the waters adjacent to Ren'ai Jiao in China's Nansha Islands without China's approval. This act seriously violates China's sovereignty and violates international law and China's domestic laws and regulations.

In response to the illegal acts of Philippine vessels, the China Coast Guard has taken necessary control measures in accordance with the law and has lodged solemn representations with the Philippine side on many occasions. The Chinese side stressed that the intrusion of Philippine vessels is extremely irresponsible and dangerous, and has seriously undermined peace and stability in the South China Sea.

China urges the Philippines to immediately stop such violations of China's sovereignty and earnestly respect China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests in the South China Sea. At the same time, China calls on the international community to jointly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea, promote the settlement of disputes through dialogue and consultation, and refrain from taking actions that could exacerbate conflicts and escalate confrontation.

China resolutely upholds national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will take firm and forceful countermeasures against any infringement of China's sovereignty. China is ready to continue to work with the countries concerned to peacefully resolve the relevant disputes in the South China Sea through negotiation and consultation in accordance with international law on the basis of respecting historical facts.
