On February 29, Putin said in his State of the Union address to the upper and lower houses of the Russian Federation:
The word "elite" has been largely discredited. Those who have no value to society, who consider themselves some kind of people with special rights and privileges, especially those who in previous years at the expense of the economic interests of the country in the 90s of the last century, are definitely not elites. Once again, I repeat that the real elite are all those who serve Russia, workers and soldiers, reliable and tried and tested, whose toil proves their loyalty to Russia, who are worthy of respect.
In Putin's eyes, those who enjoy privileges, those who get rich by the interests of the aspirants, are definitely not elites, the real elites are workers who serve Russia, soldiers who fight on the front lines, and people who are loyal to the country and work hard for the country.
"In this regard, there is a new decision, starting tomorrow, veterans, as well as officers and soldiers who are currently fighting in active units, will be able to apply to participate in the first special cadre training programs that we call the" Heroic Era ". I will not hide this idea, which came to my mind when I met with university students who participated in the special military operation in St. Petersburg. ”
Putin decided to train these elites in his eyes as special cadres so that they can participate in state management and leadership in the future.
So, can Putin's words be applied to our country?
What do we see as elite? Are they those e-commerce companies that are as rich as the country, or those anchors who get rich overnight? Or an engineering contractor who relies on network resources to make a fortune, a rich second generation who spends a lot of money, and an entertainer?
Actually, Putin is not wrong at all, the word "elite" has been smeared and tasted. The real elite should be those scientific and technological workers who take a low salary and work silently for the development of the country, skilled workers, leaders and doers who exert their wisdom and talents in all walks of life.
If the motherland lacks these people who do things in a down-to-earth manner, it will be like a towering tree without a developed root system, and nutrition cannot be delivered, and no matter how bright the flowers and sweet fruits on the tree are, they will eventually wither and wither.
