Chu Lianhai, born in 1954 in Loufu, Shanxi, now lives in Beijing, pen name Mo Bai, Zhai name: Jin Zhai Master. He is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a national first-class artist, the former deputy director of the China Social Survey Research Center, the former president of the China Poverty Alleviation Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a specially invited academician of the World Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Institute, a vice president of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a special president of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Magazine, a member of the Title Evaluation Committee of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the Social Art Professional Committee of the China Oriental Culture Research Association, and the general consultant of the calligraphy and painting art of the Shanxi Cultural and Creative Industry Research Association.

His works have won many national awards, and some of his works have been collected by the Palace Museum and the ** Memorial Hall, and have been collected by the book "Appreciation and Collection - Appreciation of Calligraphers and Painters in the New Era"; He has participated in art activities in the United States, South Korea, North Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries, and has won many international honorary awards.

In addition to being obsessed with the creation of calligraphy and painting, Chu Shunhai also actively participates in public welfare poverty alleviation, and at the age of nearly 70, he has been running for appeals in many ways, contacting calligraphers, painters and enterprises in many ways, and bringing tangible poverty alleviation results to the vast number of poor areas.

In 2008, he organized the "China Poverty Alleviation Calligraphy and Painting Journey" into more than a dozen provinces and 20,000 kilometers, which was well received by the chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

In the autumn of 2010, in the Chongqing Poverty Alleviation Calligraphy Charity Auction, 80,000 yuan of his four-foot "Tiger" calligraphy was donated.

In 2013, he participated in the teaching in Gannan area of Gansu Province and donated nearly 100 pairs of calligraphy works to local primary schools, middle schools and poverty-stricken areas. In the same year, he also participated in the Ruziniu Literary and Art Volunteer Service Group, as a volunteer, without salary or remuneration, he went to remote mountainous areas and poor areas to carry out literary and artistic volunteer activities. He has successively gone deep into Anshun, Guizhou, Longnan, Gansu, Wangdu County, Hebei, Liangxiang, Fangshan District, Beijing and other places to carry out literary and artistic volunteer services for many times. In the remote mountainous areas, we have organized and implemented many colorful and unique literary and artistic volunteer service activities such as calligraphy and painting creation donations, one-on-one art teaching tutoring, and door-to-door delivery of calligraphy and paintings, which have been warmly welcomed by grassroots organizations and the public.

In 2019, he was invited to participate in the second Shanxi Environmental Protection Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Summit, at which Chu Shunhai called on environmental protection experts, calligraphy and painting artists, business people, and environmental activists from all walks of life to splash ink and participate together, promote the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection in the art form of calligraphy and painting, improve the moral and cultural taste of participants with art appreciation activities, and reward enterprises and individuals who have contributed to the cause of environmental protection with work gifts.

On December 14, 2020, Chu Shunhai visited the Beijing Zhongren Charity Association to learn about the implementation of the public welfare project in Shanxi.

In 2021, he was invited to participate in the "Centennial History - The First National Gift Philatelic Cultural and Creative Summit and Fine Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition", and was awarded the honorary title of "National Gift Philatelic Artist" in the same year.

In May 2022, he was interviewed and published in the special issue of the 45th anniversary of reform and opening up (1978-2023) of People's Artist Magazine. In December, he was invited to participate in the Beijing International Auction of Ink Painting and Calligraphy.

In February 2023, we will focus on the two sessions and focus on recommending artists. In April, he was invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the "Fu Shan Award" National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition sponsored by Shanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, Shanxi Cultural Construction Association and Shanxi Chinese Culture Promotion Association in Shanxi Museum. In May, he was invited to "See China at the Top of Art - The Great Beauty of China", and some of his works were exhibited overseas in Times Square, New York. In the same month, his works "Flowers Bloom Rich", "Climbing the Stork Tower", and "Flowers Bloom Rich" went through many rounds of fierce competition in the large-scale auction of Chinese calligraphy and painting held by Hong Kong Guofeng Fude Auction Company, and were sold at considerable prices. In July, he was invited to participate in the launching ceremony of the first stop of the national tour of Fenjiu Professional Town in Xinghua Village, Xinghua Village, and led by Chu Shunhai to lead the on-site theme pen meeting of well-known domestic calligraphers and painters. In August, Chu Lianhai donated a 32-square-foot picture of a rich peony with flowers to the 2023 China Xinghuacun International Wine Industry Expo. In October, he was invited by CCTV's "Famous Artists" and "Art Inheritance" columns to be interviewed, and was authorized to be awarded the Chinese calligraphy and painting art creation base in Taiyuan, Shanxi. In the same year, it donated 32 square feet of peony to the Phoenix Mountain Scenic Area of Shanxi Provincial Traffic Control Training Base, and 32 square feet of peony was donated by the Jiaotou Group.
