After the death of Xiaozhuang, why did the spirit stopYears not buried? Kangxi: I don't dare to bury it.

The most admired woman in the Qing Dynasty is none other than the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, who is extremely wise, indifferent to fame and fortune, assisted the emperor of the two dynasties, and successfully cultivated the Kangxi Emperor and became a generation of Ming monarchs.

She has made great contributions to the development history of the Qing Dynasty, and her kindness to Kangxi is even deeper. However, 37 years after her death, she still could not be buried.

Empress Xiaozhuang, formerly known as Bumu Butai, at the age of thirteen, she married Huang Taiji at the age of cardamom, at that time Huang Taiji only had one Dafu Jin Zhezhe, and the position of Empress Xiaozhuang was second only to Zhezhe.

However, with the addition of Namu Zhong and Hai Lanzhu, the status of Empress Xiaozhuang gradually declined. Huang Taiji loved Hai Lanzhu all his life, and even hoped that Hai Lanzhu's son would inherit the throne in the future.

However, Hai Lanzhu's son Fu Bo had a shallow life and died soon after he was born, so Hai Lanzhu couldn't afford to fall ill and returned to the west, and Huang Taiji also died suddenly due to longing.

According to the rule of "brother to brother" at that time, Hauge and Dolgon were both eligible to inherit the throne, but Dolgon supported Fulin to ascend the throne for the sake of Empress Xiaozhuang, and Hauge could not compete with Dolgon, so he had to agree.

In order to protect the Qing Dynasty, Empress Xiaozhuang went through wind and rain. When Fu Lin ascended the throne, she used her extraordinary wisdom and perseverance to help Fu Lin stabilize the government, and skillfully maneuvered with Dorgon to resolve the crisis.

Although she endured many grievances and pressures in the process, her dedication put Daqing on the road to development. Until Dolgon's death, she helped Kangxi ascend the throne and make the political situation of the Qing Dynasty more stable.

However, fate was not fair to her, Fulin died early due to the death of Concubine Dong E, and Xiaozhuang claimed that he died young in order to protect his image and stabilize people's hearts.

This move made Queen Xiaozhuang's life full of legend and tragedy. Her intelligence, courage and tenacity are deeply admired.

The situation in the imperial court changed abruptly, and the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang was witty and decisive, and selected Xuan Ye from her grandchildren to inherit the throne, and this was the Kangxi Emperor in history. Kangxi, who was only eight years old, was carefully cultivated by the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, and learned forbearance and thunder methods, insight into people's hearts, and knew how to recognize people and be good at their duties.

Under the support and wisdom of the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, Xuan Ye successfully cut down the feudal domain, beheaded Aobai, and grasped the real imperial power. Seeing that Xuan Ye had been able to take charge on his own, the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang wisely chose to retreat behind the scenes and no longer participate in political affairs.

Xiaozhuang, as the Dinghai Divine Needle of the Qing Court and the reliance of Kangxi in his heart, even in the deep palace, she has always been respected and admired by Kangxi. Every time Kangxi goes on patrol, he will specially send someone to send a letter to Xiaozhuang, ask her about her diet and daily life, report her itinerary, and even if there is something fresh and delicious, he will also send someone back to her.

If Kangxi and Xiaozhuang go on patrol at the same time, Kangxi will always come down in person at the bumpy place on the road, holding a sedan chair for Xiaozhuang to reduce bumps as much as possible. The position of filial piety in Kangxi's heart is extremely important.

Xiaozhuang's last words: On January 27, 1688, Empress Xiaozhuang died of illness. She was the most important relative of Emperor Kangxi in her tribulation, and Emperor Kangxi was deeply saddened by her, but could not be buried immediately.

It's not that he doesn't want to be buried, it's that he doesn't know how to bury it, let alone dare to bury it. According to Empress Xiaozhuang's last words: "After I die, I must not do a big job, and I will work hard and lose money."

I am not allowed to be buried with Huang Taiji after I die. When I die, I will be buried with Fulin. Although Empress Xiaozhuang was not crowned queen during Huang Taiji's lifetime, her status and contribution are enough to afford the name of queen.

Thus, after the death of Empress Xiaozhuang, the Kangxi Emperor struggled between complying with his last wishes and complying with the rules of the Qing Dynasty.

Kangxi posthumously crowned Empress Shengwen of the Apocalypse for his grandmother Xiaozhuang, and considered letting her be buried with Huang Taiji. However, Hyozhuang rejected the proposal due to the ancestral system and the grandmother's last wishes.

Although she was thrifty all her life, she knew her grandson's heart for her, so she deliberately left her last words asking not to make a big deal. Kangxi deeply felt that his grandmother deserved the best thing in the world to be buried, but considering the last two last words, he decided to do so, but this required some difficulties to overcome.

It is speculated that there are three reasons why Xiaozhuang is reluctant to be buried with Huang Taiji. First of all, Huang Taiji has been dead for many years, the tomb has long been closed, if you want to be buried together, you need to reopen the tomb, which will not only disturb Huang Taiji, but also work the people and lose money, which Xiaozhuang does not want to see.

Secondly, she may feel that only after her death can the joint burial with Huang Taiji be truly realized. In the end, she may want her children and grandchildren to always remember her frugality and frugality, and a lavish funeral is not in line with her philosophy.

Second, Xiaozhuang understands that his marriage to Huang Taiji is more out of political considerations than true feelings. Because Zhezhe failed to have children, the tribe married Xiaozhuang to Huang Taiji in order to maintain the relationship, she understood that Huang Taiji's favorite was Hai Lanzhu, and she didn't want to be entangled in this relationship anymore.

Third, in the process of helping Fulin stabilize the government, Dolgon became an important ally for her. His support for Xiaozhuang has gone beyond ordinary emotions, and the two may have come together, but in order to protect Fulin from the criticism of others, Hyokyo Zhuang still chose to give up his love for Fulin.

Perhaps it was not until the end of his life that Xiaozhuang really let go of his heavy responsibility, recalled Fulin's love, understood and envied his bravery and determination, and hoped to be able to accompany Fulin's mausoleum, which can be regarded as a compensation for his love regrets.

Emperor Kangxi loved Empress Xiaozhuang deeply, he understood her inner world, and even after the death of Empress Xiaozhuang, in order to allow her body to be properly placed, Emperor Kangxi built a "temporary shrine" outside the Shunzhi mausoleum, and temporarily placed the body of Empress Xiaozhuang here.

However, although he came to worship Empress Hyojo every year, and discussed with the ministers many times how to bury Empress Hyojo, it was never resolved. Until Yongzheng ascended the throne, he believed that the temporary resting hall where the body of Empress Xiaozhuang was stored was on the left side of Fulin, and belonged to the same large system as the Zhaoling Tomb of Huang Taiji, which did not belong to the joint burial, nor did it break away from this system.

This decision made Emperor Kangxi feel very embarrassed, because he loved Empress Xiaozhuang deeply, but he could not go against the ancestral system. Overall, this history shows Emperor Kangxi's deep affection for Empress Xiaozhuang, as well as his confusion and helplessness in the face of the contradiction between ancestral system and personal feelings.

Although Empress Xiaozhuang's body remained in the temporary shrine for 37 years, Emperor Kangxi came to pay respects to her every year, showing that his love for her would never change.

Emperor Yongzheng took into account the ancestral system and the last wishes of the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, and decided to temporarily store the body of the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang to be renamed Zhaoxi Mausoleum. This decision not only complied with the rules, but also fulfilled the last wishes of the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, so that the body of the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, which had been stored for 37 years, could be buried in the ground.

Although Emperor Yongzheng did not love the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang as much as Emperor Kangxi, he was more respectful and grateful to the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, so he found a compromise to meet the wish of the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang.
