According to the Russian Satellite Agency on February 29, the spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in Japan answered reporters' questions on Japan's launch of the fourth batch of Fukushima nuclear contaminated water discharge into the sea, and once again urged the Japanese side to dispose of the nuclear contaminated water in a responsible and constructive manner.

On February 28, Japan's Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) launched the fourth batch of Fukushima nuclear contaminated water discharge. In this regard, the spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in Japan said that we strongly regret that the Japanese side has continuously dumped nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean in disregard of the legitimate concerns of the people and the strong opposition of the international community, passing on the risk of nuclear contamination to the whole world.

The report quoted the Chinese Embassy in Japan as saying that the spokesman pointed out that the discharge of nuclear contaminated water from Fukushima is related to global marine safety and people's health, and that repeated accidents have occurred in the process of dealing with nuclear contaminated water on the Japanese side, which fully exposes the chaotic management, poor supervision, and the lack of long-term reliability of the nuclear contaminated water treatment device.

"We once again urge the Japanese side to take seriously its legitimate concerns at home and abroad, cooperate with the establishment of a comprehensive, effective and independent long-term international monitoring mechanism for all stakeholders, and dispose of the nuclear-contaminated water in a responsible and constructive manner," the spokesperson said. ”
