Comrade Liu Cheng, a retired cadre of the State Administration of Radio and Television, passed away in Xiamen on February 20, 2024 due to illness at the age of 85.

Liu Cheng, male, born in July 1939, is a native of Penglai, Shandong. He began his career in September 1964 and joined the Communist Party of China in September 1964. From September 1964 to January 1970, he worked as an actor in the actor troupe of Bayi Film Studio, during which he was awarded a third-class meritorious service in the art team of the 63rd detachment of the project during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Vietnam; From January 1970 to 1972, he worked in Harbin Vehicle Factory of the Ministry of Railways; From 1972 to 1978, he worked as a screenwriter in Zhujiang Film Studio; From 1978 to March 1985, he studied in the screenwriting advanced class of Beijing Film Academy, and then stayed at the school to teach; From March 1985 to September 1987, he served as the deputy director of the Youth Film Studio of Beijing Film Academy; From September 1987 to March 1994, he was transferred to the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television to serve as Assistant to the Director of the Film Business Administration, Director of the Research Office and Director of the Art Division. From March 1994 to October 1999, he served as the assistant director of the Film Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television. He retired in October 1999.

In accordance with Comrade Liucheng's wishes and the requirements of his family, Comrade Liucheng's funeral was simple and did not hold a farewell ceremony for his body in Beijing.
