Money does not enter the dirty door.In the past year, this is my main place of work and entertainment, although I usually clean up, but only stay on the surface (the eyes look more tidy), but the bookshelves, cabinets are very messy, a lot of things are put casually, not neat, beautiful, it is also very inconvenient to find when using, if you have the idea of tidying, then take action.
1 Small space of six square meters
A brief introduction to the current layout of the small room, the whole space is about six square meters, which is divided into three parts:
South-facing windows: Place a 14✖️0.A 7-metre height-adjustable desk with an imitation IKEA shelf on the east side and a bookcase on the west side. Placing the desk in front of the window can provide a nice view, and when you are tired, you can look out the window (although the view of the neighborhood is not very good) and relax;
West side: Two 1The 2-meter-long bookcases are side by side, my main storage cabinet, in addition to books, there are various digital accessories, small toys, etc., and the bottom is the main place to store digital product boxes, which is also the most important place for this New Year's tidying;
East side: Place a 09✖️0.6 Small desk, with drawers on the left side of the desk, as a storage space for some occasional tools. On the desk, I customized a set of metal hole boards, on which the most frequently used items are placed, such as various charging cables, chargers, quick-release boards, etc., which can be quickly picked up and used as a background wall for shooting, which plays a good decorative role.
2 About the organization of the desktop
I have shared my desktop building ideas before, although some equipment has been replaced, but the overall is still a notebook + monitor dual-screen display solution, which is very practical, so the changes are relatively small.
Never too many screensFrom the previous three screens to the current two screens, the main reason is that the color display of the portable screen is inconsistent, and there is still a certain gap with the MacBook inner screen and LG Ultrafine, so it was replaced and placed on the left shelf as an entertainment screen, and a tablet stand was placed on the right side to be used as a mobile screen. At this point, I already have four screens on my desktop, so let's see what each of them is responsible for.
Main screen: Notebook + LG screen is the main display screen, which connects the notebook, monitor, and docking station in the form of a daisy chain through Thunderbolt expansion. The dual screens are perfectly sufficient for my productivity needs, but if I want to catch up on the entertainment program, I need to introduce a third screen;
Move the screen: A flat table clip-on stand is placed on the right side of the desk, which can be used as an entertainment screen to show some ease**, and if you want to go to the sofa and dining table to continue chasing dramas, you can directly take the tablet away, which is very convenient.
The iPad Pro that was in use before has been second-hand (waiting for ** release), and the current one in use is Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro, 129 inches, 16:9 screen ratio, it is very suitable for chasing dramas, and every inch larger than the tablet can provide a significantly better viewing experience;
Bookshelf screen: I put the third portable screen on the left shelf, fixed it with wire, the host is my old MacBook, as a supplement to the mobile screen (kids also like to use the tablet**) and occasionally need to use the Windows virtual machine, run some simple little apps.
Older MacBooks didn't upgrade to macOS Monterey (12.).3 The above supports universal control), so you can only use a third-party app to control two Macs with one set of keyboard and mouse. Of course, cross-platform control can also be achieved through Logitech's logi option+, but I currently only have mouse support, not keyboard.
Another advantage of placing it on the shelf is that you need to look up when you sit to look at the screen, reducing the frequency of looking down, and at the same time, the table can be raised normally**, and you don't need to look down (after the lifting desk is raised in the picture below, the four screens can be at the same level of sight).

4 About the ergonomic experience
The sit-stand desk + engineering chair is an indispensable good thing for me to share with the table in the past two years. After a long period of experience, let's talk about my feelings, the general principle is still that you get what you pay for.
About height-adjustable desks: When purchasing a height-adjustable desk, you must understand the stability of the table in advance, especially when you rise to the standing position, slight shaking is inevitable, it is recommended to buy a three-section height-adjustable desk, the table legs are thicker, and the lifting is more stable; Now, ** has also launched a beam reinforcement product, which is also to improve the stability of the table, it is recommended to experience it first.
About ergonomic chairs: I've used four engineering chairs, but they're all at 1Below 5k. And the Doro-S300, the flagship engineering chair I am using now, really provides me with a better sitting experience. The chair is made of very sufficient materials, and double glass fiber shrapnel is not common in high-end products; Hovering at any angle, double lumbar support back linkage to provide better support, and changeable armrests are all prominent advantages. It is worth mentioning that the experience with the skinny person is good. Mesh: Because I am relatively thin, a slightly stiffer chair is easier to feel hard than others, and this is a chair that I am currently sitting on very soft; Support strength selection, you can adjust the back of the back with less force, no need to deliberately adjust the posture, and the feeling is significantly improved.
5 About the organization of small desks
I've kept it pretty much the same, except for adding a lamp to make it easier to write a weekly plan or fix up the kids' toys at night.
About the organization of bookcases: sorting, organizing, storing, and acting!
Never underestimate the needs of a child.The previous two bookcases were roughly divided into one for my wife and me, which were used to store all kinds of books, documents and various miscellaneous items. I haven't been seriously cleaned up for a long time, so there are more and more things inside, and the classification is getting more and more confusing. At the same time, after having a daughter, I found that the number of picture books and toys far exceeded my estimate, and the small bookcase was already occupied. It should be noted that at present, my daughter has just started kindergarten, and it is difficult to imagine the scene after entering elementary school (the bookcase before sorting out in the picture below).
From a two-person world to a family of three, it is necessary to re-plan the placement of the bookcase, mainly two principles:
According to the frequency of use, it is placed from high to low, and the upper layer is full of items that are often not used;The first bookcase, the upper part of the bookcase is three layers, the top layer is not commonly used books + part of my professional books, the middle layer is placed with my wife's professional books, which is convenient to consult at any time, and the lower layer is placed with leisure books, parenting books, etc.Clarify the classification of each layer, dispose of obsolete items, and free up more space for storage.
The second bookcase: the top is currently placed on the occasional and idle digital products, and the children can be placed in the later stage, all kinds of books, paintings, handicrafts, etc., which can be seen and completed by children; The middle layer is my most commonly used digital products, including cameras, lenses, stabilizers, and some digital products in my collection. At the bottom of the floor is a children's picture book area and some other parenting books.
The drawers and cabinets below are no longer displayed, and the space after sorting out is all used for children's toys. This is where the good things come in: the organisers, especially for large cabinets, make the most of the space and look great when opened.
