In the last issue, I took stock of a few heroes that must be banned, and this issue will take stock of a few heroes who have a high ban rate, but through the data, we found that they are really not so necessary.

The BP (ban-pick) session is like a silent battle, and every player is thinking about how to seize the opportunity in this intellectual competition. But is BP really a science that everyone wants to delve into? In fact, for most ordinary players, mastering the restraint between heroes, and knowing which heroes are over-the-top or difficult to handle, is enough to cope with the daily ranked matches.

Disabling heroes is a very important strategy in BP rounds. Many players have heroes that they are particularly afraid of or difficult to deal with, and it is inevitable to panic when they see these heroes on the other side. As a result, disabling them seems to be the most straightforward solution. However, do we really need to ban certain heroes outright on the first floor?

Taking Zhuang Zhou as an example, the main attribute of this hero is group control, and if you don't choose a group control hero, Zhuang Zhou's role may not be so obvious. Therefore, before banning Zhuang Zhou, you might as well take a look at your teammates' pre-selected heroes and your own plans, if there are no heroes like Su Lie and Lian Po, maybe Zhuang Zhou is not indispensable. What's more, in the BP link, there are always some heroes who have become the target of public criticism because of their unique mechanics or high strength, such as Big Joe, Ao Yin, Doria, etc. In contrast, Zhuang Zhou is difficult, but not impossible to deal with, so in most cases, disabling Zhuang Zhou may just be a waste of a ban.

Let's talk about Donghuang Taiyi. This hero was really strong in the past, and one person entering the jungle can give the opponent a headache. But with the update of the version, the strengthening of the wild area protection mechanism and the shortening of the suppression time, the Eastern Emperor Taiyi is no longer the lawless existence. He is more of a virtual flesh, and although he has high HP, he lacks double resistance, which makes him relatively vulnerable in team fights. Therefore, it may not be wise to habitually ban Donghuang Taiyi all the time without a special reason.

The last thing to mention is Shield Mountain. This hero used to give many players a headache with his powerful defenses. However, as the version changes, Shield Mountain has more and more restrained heroes, and his defensive abilities have become less inexplicable. In today's shield mountain, the shield of skill 1 can be easily cracked, and even the shooter can easily break his defense in the middle and late stages. Therefore, in the absence of a specific lineup, disabling Shield Mountain may not be the best option.

To sum up, the strategy of banning heroes in the BP link is not set in stone. For the average player, it is enough to understand the restraint between heroes, and to master some heroes that are over-the-top or difficult to handle. When banning heroes, think about whether you really need to ban a hero, or if it's just influenced by your mindset. After all, BP's wisdom lies in choosing, not just disabling.
