Zhang Yaoci is the commander of this team, and no one knows this team better than him. Since its establishment, Unit 8341 has gone through 23 years of ups and downs with ***, and of course it is a good team.

So what kind of team is Unit 8341? What is the mission and purpose of its formation? Why is the set of numeric codes 8341 no longer used after the death of ***?

The first time I stood guard, I saw *** Unit 8341 formed in 1953

Zhang Yaoci, a native of Yudu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, joined the Red Army in 1933 and was incorporated into the *** Guard Company for training. Just entered the military career, Zhang Yaoci, like most recruits, had a boring training life every day, and life passed very quickly.

One day, the squad leader arranged for Zhang Yaoci to stand guard, which was also the first time Zhang Yaoci stood guard since joining the army. He stood at the sentry post with nervousness and excitement, his grip on the handle of the gun in his hand, and his palms were even slightly sweaty. If it was an ordinary sentry, Zhang Yaoci would not be so nervous, but this is the front of the *** door, the idol in the hearts of many people.

After standing for a while, a middle-aged man walked out of the room, tall and thin, looking a little malnourished and emaciated. In 1933, the Red Army was blockaded and encircled by the Kuomintang army, and the party was quite short of materials. Although he is one of the leaders, he can only get twelve taels of grain and five cents of food every day, and his life is very hard.

Zhang Yaoci guessed in his heart, ** was probably tired from work and went for a walk in the yard. He could clearly see the redness in his eyes, and he looked a little tired, but he was in good spirits, and he felt firm and tall.

After being laid off, Zhang Yaoci excitedly said to everyone: "I have seen ***, it is really *** this period, *** is already *** chairman, but he is not responsible for military positions, only responsible for some government affairs."

In 1935, the Red Army successfully captured Zunyi, and Zhang Yaoci was transferred to the Investigation Department of the State Security Bureau, responsible for the security work of leading the city into the city. At that time, there were no horns, loudspeakers or anything like that, ** standing on a stool and speaking in a loud voice. talked about the Communist Party of China, the proletarian ideals, and the plan to go north to resist Japan, and it looked like it was about a minute.

After that, Zhang Yaoci was transferred and appointed as the squad leader of the special team of the National Security Bureau, mainly responsible for protecting the safety of *** and other leaders. The first is to select personnel, based on the original ** guard division, and re-select personnel. Most of the original ** guard divisions are revolutionary old people, and many of them have been working with *** since the Yan'an period, have certain work experience, and the team formation is relatively smooth.

The newly formed ** guard regiment has about 1,000 people, and the code name is 8341 troops, for the safety and confidentiality of the team members, all personnel use the code name of 8341 to communicate with external relatives and friends, and it is forbidden to use the number of the ** guard regiment.

**After his death, there were rumors that the code name of 8341 was calculated by "fortune telling". In fact, it was the General Staff that was compiled according to the sequence of the troop establishment of that year, and it was of no special significance. To say that Unit 8341 is special, its particularity is reflected in the fact that the structure of the unit belongs to the General Staff, while the leadership belongs to the Ninth Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security.

Unit 8341 has just been formed, and there are many aspects that need to be built, and Zhang Yaoci often holds meetings to discuss how to work. There are two points that he has always emphasized, one is vigilance, and the other is confidentiality.

In order to raise the vigilance and secrecy of the whole team, he first told everyone about many cases of assassination of leaders in history, from the Sarajevo incident to the assassination of Lenin. All personnel are also required to recite the license plate number, image characteristics, behavioral preferences, etc. of the leader, and be wary of enemy agents who fish in troubled waters.

The relationship between this army and *** is accumulated over time, and Zhang Yaoci is even more so, since the establishment of the regiment, he has almost always been by ***'s side, and it is not too much to say that they are inseparable.

Personally experienced *** and Khrushchev swimming, and *** Hunan Dishui Cave secluded for 11 days

The vegetation environment of Zhongnanhai is superior, and the number of sparrows is very large, and they are constantly chattering during the day, which affects the rest during the day.

The comrades of the 1st Squadron spontaneously tried to find a way to drive away the birds, hoping that the chairman would have a quiet resting environment. There were sparrow nests on the trees, and there were people who used clods of soil and slingshots to shoot sparrows, and the final effect was very good, and there were a lot fewer sparrows around the chairman's residence, and everyone was very happy.

There are a lot of little things in life like this, according to Zhang Yaoci's recollection, ** is very gentle to the comrades around him, and rarely criticizes people harshly. As long as there are no issues of principle, the chairman always goes to the point, and even speaks in an extremely humorous manner, often using some historical allusions as examples. It is difficult not to be impressed by his personality charm.

In 1958, Khrushchev visited China, and on July 31, he was received at the Yi Nian Hall in Zhongnanhai. During the talks between the two, Khrushchev put forward two unreasonable demands, the establishment of a "common fleet" and the establishment of a "long-wave radio station," but he also rejected them very simply. The day's talks ended unhappily.

The next day, the two met by the pool in Zhongnanhai and continued to talk about things, but they still couldn't reach a consensus. This time, Zhang Yaoci was in charge of the security work and witnessed the whole process of the two leaders getting along.

Things didn't go well, ** proposed: "Let's talk about it today, let's swim, cool off!" "The summer in Beijing is very hot, ** I love swimming, and in the summer, I often come to the pool, and I swim in the water very happily, and my posture is fast.

In June 1959, ** went to his hometown of Hunan to inspect the work, traveled to his hometown Shaoshan area, looked at the place where he once lived, and was full of emotion. recalled the stories of the ancestors of the Mao family, and told the stories with Zhang Yaoci and others who followed him. **Storytelling, it's very interesting to tell, and a group of people listen very carefully.

In June 1966, ** came to Dishui Cave again, which had already been built. Gao Wenli of the Hunan Provincial Public Security Department and Xiao Gen from the Hunan Provincial Reception Office accompanied them to the place, and according to the plan, Unit 8341 lived in Building 3, Gao Wenli, Xiao Gen, Zhang Yaoci and the guard team lived in Building 2, and ** lived in Building 1.

All this was arranged in advance, and soon the group settled down in Dishui Cave, ** this stay is 11 days. The only time I went out during this period was only to go around about 300 meters from the entrance of the cave.

When I first came, I took a turn in the cave, and I was quite interested, and said happily: "This cave is half born and half artificial, I'm afraid it has cost a lot of money!" Since it has been repaired, it must be managed well and not destroyed. ”

**Living in the dripping hole, I don't see any outsiders, I read books every day, review documents, and spend most of the rest of my time thinking about problems. The chairman seemed to be in trouble and seemed a little restless, lying in bed and reading a book, and then sitting at his desk.

After staying for a few days, he may be bored, so he called Zhang Yaoci to him and said, "Yaoci, can you go and see if you can swim in Qingnian Lake?" "Every summer, the chairman always has to swim happily. Zhang Yaoci agreed to come down and immediately went to Qingnian Lake to check.

Qingnian Lake is actually a large reservoir in the surrounding area, with green mountains on both sides, and a dam is built between the two mountains to form a large body of water. It is far away from people, the water is clear, and the scenery is excellent, but the water is too deep, and Zhang Yaoci is a little worried about the safety of the chairman.

Zhang Yaoci has followed *** for many years, and knows his temper best, if he can't swim, the chairman is afraid that he has to go. When I was in a dilemma, I met a middle-aged man who was wielding a hoe to hoe the ground. As soon as the middle-aged man looked up and saw Zhang Yaoci, the two started talking.

The middle-aged man said: "Repairing this reservoir has flooded a large area of land, this piece of land is very good, if *** knows, he will definitely not agree." ”

One day, ** was walking in the cave, and happened to see a wheelchair at the door, feeling novel, and wanted to sit and feel it. Zhang Yaoci pushed the wheelchair out of the drip hole, and the surrounding scenery was very good, ** called everyone and a shadow.

After taking a group photo, ** seemed to think of something, lost interest, and the group walked back again. This "wheelchair trip" is the only time I went out in 11 days, and the distance from going out was only about 300 meters.

In 1971, ** took a train to the south to inspect work, all the way through Wuhan, Changsha, Nanchang, Hangzhou, and finally Shanghai, and stayed in Shanghai for a day, and then returned directly to Beijing. Departing on August 14 and returning to Beijing on September 12, it was exactly 30 days.

I stayed in Wuhan for the longest time, staying for 10 days, Hangzhou for 5 days, Changsha and Nanchang for 3 days each, and staying in Shanghai for 1 day without getting off the car.

In 1971, Shanghai already had the rudiments of an international metropolis, and the people who mixed it up were more mixed, so the chances of danger were also greater. After consideration, it was decided not to get off the special train in Shanghai, and after calling a few comrades to talk, they stopped for a while, and then left for Beijing directly.

It turned out that the leader had a keen sense of smell, and there were indeed criminals planning assassinations in Shanghai. The first plan of the enemy agents was to burn the train with flamethrowers, and the second plan was to assassinate the party comrades while they were receiving them.

In the end, these plans were nullified, and under the correct leadership of ***, the first squadron of Unit 8341 escorted all the way, and finally a group of people successfully completed the task and returned to Beijing.

At the end of 1971, Zhang Yaoci handed over an inspection to ***, and decided to report some mistakes in his work to the chairman after a long time. **Treat his subordinates very gently, and comfort Zhang Yaoci:

But with the death of ***, the title of Unit 8341 was canceled, which is the respect and nostalgia of the world for the chairman. Later, the ** Guard Regiment was re-formed, and a new unit number was also changed, and 8341 became history. The composition of the army is different, the number is different, and even the generation is changing every year, the only thing that remains unchanged is the responsibility on the shoulders, and guarding and protecting is always the ultimate goal.
