2. The limit of 55kg of vehicle mass weakens the strength of the frame, resulting in the smaller load-bearing capacity and impact resistance of the electric vehicle, and the increased potential safety hazards in daily use.
3. The restriction on the height of the vehicle makes it difficult for electric vehicles to install rearview mirrors, which affects riding safety.
Deputy Zhang Tianren believes that it is unreasonable to sacrifice the volume, speed and mileage required by electric vehicles as a means of transportation and production (express delivery, takeaway) in exchange for the stability of road traffic order. The revision of the "Safety Technical Specifications for Electric Bicycles" will help to further ensure the safety of consumers' lives and property, and also help to ensure the maximization of the common rights and interests of all road traffic participants.
With the safe use of electric vehicles as the core direction, Zhang Tianren put forward four specific suggestions for revising the "Safety Technical Specifications for Electric Bicycles", which have a positive effect on the safe production, sales, use and charging of electric vehicles
1. Relax the weight of the vehicle to 65kg, increase the battery capacity and mileage, and increase the requirements for battery safety.
2. Strengthen the electrical safety requirements, and the charger should have functions such as overcharge protection, overdischarge protection, short circuit protection, temperature protection, and overcurrent protection to ensure the safety of electric bicycle charging. The internal wires and connectors should be waterproof and dustproof.
3. Increase the requirements of special road sections, such as steep slopes, rain and snow days, and put forward requirements for the braking performance and stability of electric vehicles to ensure the safety of electric bicycle riding.
4. Cancel the radio disturbance characteristic test. While not affecting the safety of electric vehicles, it also reasonably reduces the production cost of enterprises and consumers.
In order to prevent electric vehicle safety accidents, the key is to cure the root cause! After the implementation of the new national standard for electric vehicles, inferior lithium batteries disrupt the market, and users privately modify to improve power range, resulting in a significant increase in fire accidents. "Electric Vehicle First Information" also recommends the relevant departments:
1. Following the development and changes of China's social needs, appropriately relax the restrictions on vehicle weight, speed, size and pedals in the new national standard, respond to the people's calls and needs for normal and reasonable travel, and make inferior lithium batteries and illegal modifications have no chance;
2. Accelerate the introduction of mandatory national standards for lithium-ion batteries for electric bicycles, increase supervision, raise the entry threshold, crack down on various inferior lithium battery manufacturers and sales channels, and eliminate potential quality and safety hazards of lithium batteries from the source;
3. Relax the ban on motorcycles, replace one-size-fits-all with scientific and humane management, and allow electric light motorcycles with standards and performance that are more in line with the needs of the people to take non-motorized lanes, giving the people more choices to buy cars.
