Brief introduction: On the afternoon of 5 July, the families of the mainland side took the "mini three links" boat to return to the mainland, and Taiwan's "Coast Guard" caught up with the ship and sent "condolence money," but the families of the fishermen killed on the mainland refused to accept it.

The cross-strait consultations and talks, which lasted three weeks, ended in a complete breakthrough. On March 5, after paying respects to their relatives in Kinmen, the families of the fishermen who died wiped their tears and embarked on a small three-way boat to return to the mainland. The Taiwan Strait patrol personnel sent 200,000 yuan, why did the fishermen's families refuse to accept it? What's the secret?

According to Taiwan media reports, on March 5, the case of two deaths caused by the capsizing of a land boat in the waters of Kinmen was still broken after 15 intensive consultations with the mainland delegation. The families of the deceased on the mainland side bitterly criticized the Taiwan authorities, but no one was willing to bear it, and they did not even apologize basically, and they returned to the mainland in grief and indignation after paying tribute to their relatives.

Li Zhaohui, deputy director of the Quanzhou Taiwan Affairs Office, angrily denounced that the negotiators on the Taiwan side have gone back on their word, distorted the facts, lied one after another, and failed to resolve the matter in good faith.

Taiwan media reported that on the afternoon of 5 July, the families of the mainland side returned to the mainland on a "mini three links" boat, and Taiwan's "Coast Guard" sent "condolence money" to the funeral home, but the families of the fishermen killed on the mainland refused to accept it.

Later, the families of the fishermen killed on the mainland boarded the boat at 13:40, and Chen Sichuan, director of the Jinma Peng Branch, and Hong Guozheng, president of the Red Cross in Kinmen, caught up with the boat all the way.

It is understood that the reason for the "Coast Guard" to ask the family to sign it, and the words "first phase of condolence money" were written on it, which made the family refuse to accept the money.

Chen Sichuan, director of the Jinma Peng branch, said that the standard of condolence money is 100,000 yuan per person, and 200,000 yuan for the two fishermen who died.

Regarding the refusal of the families of the fishermen killed on the mainland, Chen Sichuan explained that this is different from the compensation and pension that was originally being discussed, and it is not related, this is purely a "heart" of theirs, and the care for the families is like this for the Taiwanese people, which can be regarded as a kind of condolence money.

Seeing this, combined with the situation that all the negotiations in the early stage were broken, it is not difficult for us to understand why the families of the fishermen who died refused to accept this so-called "condolence money". It's not that they don't want to accept it, but they don't dare to accept it.

The first question on which the mainland delegates left Kinmen was the standard of 100,000 yuan per person, which in itself could not be accepted. In our layman's terms, is a human life worth 100,000 yuan? Obviously, it is impossible, and during the previous negotiations between the representatives of the two sides of the strait, the amount of compensation was about 800,000 to 1 million yuan.

In particular, the Taiwan Strait Patrol requires the family members to sign and accept the "first installment of condolence money".

On the second question, the Taiwan Strait Patrol claimed that the money had nothing to do with the compensation and pension during the negotiations, and was purely "intentional". This statement does not reflect the so-called care at all, but only an act of rubbing salt on the wound.

Why? Li Zhaohui, deputy director of the Quanzhou Taiwan Affairs Office, made it very clear that the Taiwan authorities have gone back on their word, distorted the facts, lied one after another, and failed to resolve the matter in good faith, which has led to a complete breakthrough in the negotiations.

If, during the cross-strait talks, the Taiwan authorities show some goodwill and resolve the matter, then the families of the fishermen who died will accept the condolences given by the Taiwan Strait Patrol and the families of the fishermen who died with more peace of mind.

But since the matter has not been resolved, and the souls of the victims have not been comforted in heaven, at this time, when the families of the fishermen accept the so-called condolence money, will they not be poked in the backbone, and they will be said behind their backs that they have lost their righteousness for the sake of small money?

Therefore, the Taiwan Strait Patrol said that the 200,000 yuan condolence money is humanistic care, but in fact, it is a real hidden evil. No matter from the perspective of giving an explanation to the victims, or from the overall situation, it is impossible for the families of the fishermen who died to accept this money.

With regard to the situation in which cross-strait talks broke down, the mainland representative warned the Taiwan authorities that they should bear the consequences.

Guan Biling, responsible person of the Taiwan authorities' "Strait Affairs Council," said that when questioned by the legislature, Guan Biling, a responsible person of the Taiwan authorities' "Strait Affairs Council," claimed that the Taiwan authorities are still "full of sincerity" and hope to resolve cross-strait differences with an open attitude as soon as possible, return the case to judicial investigation, and quickly clarify the truth.

Guan Biling also said that the Taiwan authorities want to clarify the truth about the rule of law, while the mainland hopes for "truth, compensation, and apology." There is almost consensus on several demands, but in the end they are still stuck in the so-called "system gap."

Are the Taiwan authorities really trying to clarify the truth? In the three weeks since the accident occurred, how many times have the lies openly told by the Taiwan authorities been exposed? It was only from not having contact with the ship to admitting that the collision was made, from being inconvenient to making the video public to not recording the video at all, as if squeezing toothpaste, and being hammered by the evidence, before the Taiwan authorities admitted some facts.

Zhou Meiwu (left) and Guan Biling (right) When questioned by the legislature on 5 March, Zhou Meiwu, a person in charge of Taiwan's "Coast Guard," disclosed a radar trajectory map, saying that the mainland fishing boat accelerated from 2 minutes to 40 knots and then capsized on its own, and that the Taiwan Strait Patrol did not ram the mainland fishing boat. Doesn't this yet overturn the collision they admitted earlier?

There are many details in this radar trajectory map that cannot be explained, such as can such a small mainland fishing boat accelerate to 40 knots? You must know that 40 knots is about 74 kilometers per hour, what kind of engine can a small fishing boat use to accelerate to this extent?

If we want to explain these details, we will have to ask the mainland side to check the fishing boats and navigation data on its own, but the Taiwan authorities have said that they cannot make it public on the grounds of "judicial investigation."

It is precisely this endless cycle that has led to the inability of the two sides of the strait to reach any consensus, and the families of the mainland fishermen have left Kinmen in tears. Until now, the bodies of the victims are still cremated and buried in Kinmen.

As for the so-called "system gap" in the inspection of the damaged fishing boats, the mainland delegates are just a word game used by the authorities.

Obviously, not only did he not want to clarify the truth, but he also took advantage of the situation in an attempt to raise the issue of "sovereignty." Wang Dingyu, a representative of the People's Republic of China, claimed that "the mainland side has asked our personnel to go to the mainland for interrogation" and stressed that "Taiwan's sovereignty still exists."

Did the mainland representatives make this request during the consultations? If so, under what circumstances? Who is the person who presented it? Can it represent the attitude of the mainland's officials?

** Wang Dingyu, a native of the People's Republic of China, did not explain this in half a word, and Hsu Ching-chih, deputy director of Taiwan's "Coast Guard," only said that "the mainland side has mentioned such an explanation, but it has been gradually resolved after several communications," and understated it.

Tsai Ing-wen has obviously unified her voice from top to bottom, and she has to blame the mainland for all her mistakes.

Against this backdrop, will there be another round of negotiations? I think that after recognizing the essence of *** not wanting to solve the problem, we will not bother with them anymore.

Recently, Taiwan media reported intensively that the PLA Type 052D destroyer arrived in the waters of Kinmen to escort the coast guard ship.

Three 3,000-ton gunboats of the mainland coast guard also arrived within 24 nautical miles of the eastern waters of Taiwan Island. In the coming period, we may see coast guard ships frequently enforcing the law around Taiwan Island. It is too late for the Taiwan authorities to regret it.
