At the heart of the "Wanlian Handle" is its innovative design, which can easily connect ropes of various materials. This unique design is inspired by the "luminous slub rope". The charm of the luminous slub rope body lies in its luminous rope body, its rope core is soft, and in order to adapt to the two-hole skipping rope handle, a heat shrinkable tube is specially installed at the end of the rope core. However, this design is inconvenient in practical application. When adjusting the length of the rope, the user needs to cut off the original heat shrink catheter and reattach the new catheter, which is a complex process that not every user can easily operate or want to try.
Therefore, we thought about whether it was possible to make the luminous slub rope body like a normal slub rope, fixed by a simple rope clamp or knot. However, the luminous slub rope body is equipped with a battery box at one end, making it impossible to attach it directly to the handle like a normal rope body. In order to solve this problem, we modified the traditional handle, dividing it into two parts, the handle cap and the main handle, which were reconnected through the screw port. In this way, the luminous slub rope body can be smoothly attached to the handle.
However, new problems have emerged. The luminous slub rope body is composed of a lamp wire and a polyester rope in parallel, and in use, the lamp wire and the polyester rope may be entangled for various reasons, resulting in the breakage of the lamp wire. In the process of exploring the solution, we found that the root cause of rope curling is that the two ends of the rope are inconsistent in direction when rotating, and the torque generated is transmitted from both ends of the handle to the middle, making the rope appear twisted when it stops.
To improve this, we added bearings to the connection between the handle and the rope body, which significantly reduced the phenomenon of curling. This is the design concept of "Wanlian Handle": firstly, the traditional handle is divided into a handle cap and a main handle, which is convenient for connecting ropes of different materials; Secondly, a special rotor is designed in the handle cap, with an external bearing and an internal rope clamp, which not only solves the problem of rope fixation, but also ensures that the rope is rotated; Finally, a new fixing method is adopted, and the bearing and rope body are fixed by tightening the wire mouth of the handle cap and the main handle, which not only simplifies the structure, but also reduces the cost.
