Under the "mobile phone shackles", how can we regain our freedom after work?
Have you ever had this experience too? While you're tidying up your desktop, turning off your computer, and getting ready to enjoy your private time, the little red dot on WeChat keeps flashing, as if calling you to keep working. Those instructions from your boss and colleagues are like a mantra that keeps you from the shackles of work. Every time your phone vibrates, it's like a heartbeat, making your heart beat faster for fear of missing out on any important information.
This is not just the experience of a few individuals, but the common plight of many people in the workplace today. The "2023 Young People Overtime Report" shows that more than 90% of people can't get rid of the trouble of working overtime, and "when the phone rings, overtime for a long time" has become a true portrayal of many people.
With the advancement of technology and the popularity of online office, mobile phones have become an indispensable part of our lives. But many times, this "little partner" is more like an invisible chain that keeps us firmly at work, even if the bell has already sounded.
Lu Guoquan, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), put forward a deafening suggestion: the national level should establish legal provisions to protect the right to offline rest. This is a question worth pondering. Are we really willing to be enslaved by the mobile phone and become its "loyal slaves"?
The answer is clearly no. Work is a part of life, but it shouldn't be the whole of life. What we need is balance, freedom, and the time to be truly our own after work. Therefore, it is particularly important to legislate to protect the right to offline breaks. This not only protects the legitimate rights and interests of people in the workplace, but also improves their work efficiency and quality of life.
It is hoped that the relevant departments will attach great importance to this proposal, strengthen research, and promote the right to offline rest as a legal right, so that everyone in the workplace can truly have their own time and space after work. Break the "shackles" of your mobile phone and regain your own peace and freedom!
Are you looking forward to it?
