In order to commemorate Mr. Yin Guifang, on March 1 and 2, two special performances of excerpts were held at the Fanghua Theater.
This year is the 105th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Yin Guifang, the founder of the national intangible cultural heritage "Yue Opera Yin School" and the founder of Fujian Fanghua Yue Theater and the 65th anniversary of Fujian Fanghua Yue Theater entering Fujian, and March 1 this year is also the 24th anniversary of Mr. Yin Guifang's death. In this commemorative performance, Wang Junan, a national first-class actor of Fanghua, winner of the Plum Blossom Award, and a national intangible cultural heritage inheritor of the Yin School of Yue Opera, sang wonderful excerpts on the spot. Fanghua's outstanding young actors brought the audience classic excerpts from Fanghua Yin's repertoire such as "He Wenxiu", "Prince of the Desert", "Dream of Red Mansions", "Love of Mountains and Rivers", "The New Biography of Lion's Roar".
Yin Guifang. Yin Guifang entered the Dahua Stage in Shengxian County, the birthplace of Yue Opera at the age of 12, studied opera, left the school at the age of 14, entered Shanghai in December 1938, starred in the Tongle Grand Theater in 1940, and founded the Fanghua Yue Opera Troupe in 1946. In 1947, he and Yuan Xuefen initiated the establishment of the Yue Opera School and the Yue Opera Association, and performed "Mountains and Rivers Love". In 1948, he was elected as the "Emperor of Yue Opera" by the audience, and in October 1954, he participated in the East China Opera Observation and Performance Conference and won the first prize for actors. In 1959, Yin Guifang resolutely led the Fanghua Yue Opera Troupe to settle down in Fuzhou, sowing the seeds of Yue Opera to the land of Fujian and taking root and blossoming. She has been the head of the Fanghua Yue Opera Troupe for a long time, and has been the honorary head since 1984.
Yin Guifang devoted her life to the reform and innovation of Yue Opera, and laid the basic pattern of contemporary Yue Opera stage art. While constantly extracting the essence of performing arts from Yue Opera peers, it also absorbs nutrients from other art categories, gradually forming a unique Yue Opera Yin School art, creating a precedent for Yue Opera to play a leading role. Yin Guifang's basic skills are solid, her acting path is wide, her performance is really not pretentious, she has depth in the play, no matter how she uses a move, a style, or a look, she is free to use, neither too hot nor short, reaching the realm of superbness. Her singing pays attention to the use of words to control the tone, to bring the voice with emotion, and is good at using stress and changes in timbre and speed, focusing on portraying the character traits and thoughts and emotions of the characters.
In her more than 60 years of artistic career, Yin Guifang has rehearsed more than 200 plays, including "Prince of the Desert", "Dream of Red Mansions", "Pan Wife and Wife", "He Wenxiu", "Jade Dragonfly", "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", "Baoyu and Daiyu", "The Legend of the West Chamber", "Qu Yuan", "Sister Jiang", "Righteous Orphan Rescue", "Xinling Jun", etc., and successfully created countless lifelike characters with different personalities, many of which are widely sung.
