At present, the most important task for China and the United States is to make the "San Francisco Vision" a reality in accordance with the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, and promote the development of China-US relations along a healthy, stable and sustainable track.
Recently, China and the United States have jointly promoted the implementation of the consensus reached at the San Francisco Summit between the two heads of state, carried out dialogues and exchanges in various fields and at different levels, consolidated the momentum of China-US relations to stop the decline and stabilize, and released a positive signal to the world. The international community has positively appraised the positive interaction between China and the United States, and believes that the concrete actions taken by China and the United States to jointly implement the San Francisco Vision are conducive to improving the well-being of the two peoples and promoting world peace, stability and prosperity.
In November last year, President and Biden had a successful meeting in San Francisco and had an in-depth exchange of views on strategic, overall and directional issues related to China-US relations. The two sides reached more than 20 consensus and outcomes in the fields of politics and diplomacy, economy, trade and finance, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, global governance, and military security, opening up the "San Francisco Vision" for the future, and charting the direction and blueprint for the development of China-US relations. These important consensus and achievements show that China and the United States share extensive common interests, mutual benefit and win-win results are the essential characteristics of China-US relations, and dialogue and cooperation are the only correct choice for China and the United States.
At present, the most important task for China and the United States is to make the "San Francisco Vision" a reality in accordance with the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, and promote the development of China-US relations along a healthy, stable and sustainable track. The two militaries have resumed communication and dialogue, working groups on economic, financial, commercial and trade, climate action, and anti-narcotics cooperation have been launched one after another, American teenagers have come to China for exchanges, and the dialogue mechanism between artificial intelligence has been put on the ...... agendaDialogue and communication between China and the United States have attracted widespread attention.
The key to making the San Francisco Vision a reality is for China and the United States to adhere to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. To uphold mutual respect, it is imperative to establish a correct understanding. To uphold peaceful coexistence, the most important thing is to effectively manage differences. Adhere to win-win cooperation, the ballast stone is to promote mutually beneficial cooperation. Over the past 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-US relations have gone through ups and downs, but on the whole maintained a momentum of forward development, and fruitful cooperation in various fields has brought tangible benefits to the two peoples. China and the United States have carried out beneficial cooperation on many regional hotspots and global issues, promoting world peace, stability and prosperity. The two sides should take the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to sum up their experiences and draw lessons from each other, treat each other as equals rather than condescendingly, seek common ground while reserving differences rather than highlighting differences, earnestly respect each other's core interests rather than undermine each other's core interests, and work together to build mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation, so as to build a correct way for China and the United States to get along. This is an inevitable requirement of historical evolution and the universal expectation of the international community. David Rampton, professor emeritus of Chinese studies at the Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced Studies in International Studies, believes that the current US-China relationship is in a dynamic evolution, and the two countries need to make this evolution develop in a better direction rather than worse, and strive to find common ground.
To make the San Francisco Vision a reality, the US should view China's development in an objective and rational manner, pursue a positive and pragmatic China policy, and implement its commitments in concrete actions. China-US relations are the most important and complex bilateral relations in the world, and to manage them responsibly, the US side must establish a correct understanding of China and deeply consider the fundamental and overarching question of whether China and the United States are adversaries or partners. There is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is part of China's territory, and this is the real status quo of the Taiwan issue. What is trying to change this status quo is "the connivance of activities and outside forces." The US side should abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiqués, and implement its statement that it does not support "China". The US should realize that its insistence on turning "de-risking" into "de-China", building "small courtyards and high walls", and engaging in "decoupling from China" will eventually backfire on itself. The US should lift illegal unilateral sanctions on Chinese companies and individuals, and stop undermining China's legitimate development rights and interests. The US should stop unwarranted harassment and interrogation of Chinese citizens and do more things that are conducive to enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples.
Today's world is undergoing major changes unseen in a century, the world has entered a new period of turbulence and change, and mankind is facing multiple challenges. More than ever, the international community needs a stable U.S.-China relationship. China and the United States should act in an attitude of being responsible to history, the people and the world, and in accordance with the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, and plan for the next stage of exchanges between the two countries at all levels. Only by working in the same direction, strengthening dialogue and communication, actively cooperating when there are opportunities, solving problems when there are problems, and managing differences when there are differences, can the two countries and the two peoples benefit China and the United States and jointly promote the cause of world peace and development.
