Liverpool have at least 15 games to play before May and have less than two months to recover if Alisson is indeed to return this season. Quevien Kelleher has stepped up in his absence, starting the last five games, including a heroic performance at Wembley Stadium, and will now be relied upon by the Reds in their most crucial period.
Liverpool have also made changes to their Europa League knockout squad to accommodate Alisson's absence, with Joel Matip, who is out for the season with a former cruciate ligament injury, replaced by Adrian.
