GH1015, a Fe-Ni-Cr-based solution-strengthened deformed superalloy, has occupied a place in the aerospace field with its unique properties. It has a nickel content of about 38% and can operate stably in extreme environments below 950. GH1015 is solution strengthened by the addition of elements such as chromium, tungsten and molybdenum, giving it excellent high temperature resistance.
This alloy is mainly used in the manufacture of key sheet structural parts such as extinguishing chambers and afterburner cylinders of aero engines, as well as other high-temperature components. In long-term operation at 700 to 900 °C, GH1015 may experience age hardening, resulting in reduced plasticity at room temperature. And when working in environments above 700 for long periods of time, the alloy may be exposed to the risk of oxidation along grain boundaries. To solve this problem, an enamel coating can be used for effective protection.
It is worth mentioning that the high-temperature oxidation resistance of GH1015 above 1000 is slightly inferior to that of similar nickel-based alloys. Nevertheless, it can still be used as a replacement for GH2039, GH3030, GH3044 and GH3536 alloys, showing its wide application prospects. From the perspective of chemical composition, the content of each element of GH1015 is strictly controlled to ensure the stability and reliability of its performance. Among them, the proportion of carbon, chromium, nickel, tungsten, molybdenum and other elements has been carefully blended to achieve the best solution strengthening effect. The presence of aluminum, titanium, iron and other elements also further enhances the comprehensive properties of the alloy.
In terms of processing and welding performance, GH1015 shows good plasticity. Before spot welding and seam welding, only a simple mechanical polishing of the material is required, and the storage time does not exceed 15 days, to ensure the quality of the weld. When argon arc welding, the crack tendency is small, and it is recommended to use the same grade or HGH3536 3044 filler material. In addition, GH1015 has no special requirements for cutting and grinding, further simplifying the machining process.
