Sun Liren (1900-1990) was one of the representatives of the Chinese Expeditionary Force and one of the famous generals in modern Chinese history. Born in 1900, he graduated from Tsinghua University and later studied in the United States with a master's degree in military science. In his life, he has held many important positions in the squadron, including the commander of the New First Army and the commander of the expeditionary force.

Sun Liren performed well in the War of Resistance Against Japan, rescuing the trapped British army in the victory of Ren'anqiang, defeating the elite troops of the Japanese army, and achieving outstanding military achievements. His troops fought more than a dozen bloody battles on the way to retreat, and finally withdrew safely to India.

Sun Liren was a member of the American faction in the Kuomintang army, and he was awarded four medals and was invited by Allied commander-in-chief Dwight D. Eisenhower to watch the war in Europe. However, due to the miscooperation of the Chinese, American and British allies, Burma was in a passive situation under the double attack of the Japanese army inside and outside.

General Sun Liren served as the commander of the new 38th Division of the Chinese Expeditionary Force during the first expedition of the Chinese Expeditionary Force. This position also led him to participate in the Battle of Mandalay in 1942, where he and his troops successfully rescued more than 7,000 trapped British troops. Although in the later period, due to the injustice of the British army and Stilwell's abandonment, Sun Liren's troops entered as refugees, he and his new 38th Division achieved many victories in India and Burma, winning honor and status.

Sun Liren's command style is decisive and resolute, and he has extremely high combat effectiveness and execution. On November 19, 1990, General Sun Liren passed away at the age of 90.

Sun Liren is known as the "victorious general", and his fighting spirit and exquisite way of using troops have won him an international reputation. He is known as the "Rommel of the East" and is also a famous Confucian general among the first generals. His life was brilliant but also bumpy, but he made important contributions to China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and military modernization.

Sun Liren's story and spirit have become an example for future generations to learn from and revere. He is engraved in the long river of history and will always be remembered in people's hearts.
