Beef brisket is a delicious dish with tender meat and rich broth that is perfect for making at home. Here's a simple and delicious way to make home-cooked brisket:
Brisket: 500 grams.
Onion: 1 pc.
Carrot: 1 stalk.
Ginger: to taste.
Green onion: 1 stalk.
Star anise: 2-3 pieces.
Cinnamon: 1 piece.
Cooking wine: 2 tablespoons.
Light soy sauce: 2 scoops.
Dark soy sauce: 1 scoop.
Rock sugar: to taste.
Salt: to taste. Cooking oil: to taste.
Wash the brisket and cut into cubes, cut the onion into cubes, cut the carrots into sections, slice the ginger, and cut the green onions into pieces.
Add water to the pot, add the brisket, add cooking wine, and blanch to remove the smell. When blanching, you can see foam coming out, skim it off.
In another pot, add an appropriate amount of cooking oil, add ginger slices, green onions, star anise, cinnamon, and fry over low heat until fragrant.
After frying, add the blanched beef brisket pieces to the pot and stir-fry until the surface is slightly yellow.
Add light soy sauce and dark soy sauce and stir-fry evenly to evenly color the brisket.
Add enough water so that the water surface is slightly above the brisket. Add the carrot segments, an appropriate amount of rock sugar, add salt, bring to a boil over high heat, turn to low heat, cover the pot, and simmer for 1-2 hours until the brisket becomes very mushy.
Add an appropriate amount of salt to the cooked brisket soup and adjust it to taste to ensure that the flavor is mellow.
Finally, before cooking, you can add some coriander to garnish to enhance the taste.
The stewed beef brisket is served with rice or steamed buns, and the soup can be used to soak the food, making it delicious.
When blanching, you can add some cooking wine to remove the fishy taste.
Cook it over a moderate temperature, as too long will make the brisket too mushy, and too short it may not taste good.
Some spices such as peppercorns, ginger, etc., can be added according to personal taste to add flavor.
The home-cooked beef brisket is tender and delicious, melts in your mouth, and has a mellow soup, making it a delicious dish for family dinners.
