Kill or release

"Killing?Release?I closed my eyes and thought about it, I didn't dare to look at the boiling water in the pot, let alone the struggling shrimp in the basin. They tried everything they could to escape from the plastic basin where they were imprisoned, and I heard their wails from their bouncing voices: "We are all living beings!"We're all creatures!"How did I not know? How could I bear to pour these vibrant, lively and cute elves into the boiling water!

My hesitation was broken by my wife's thunderous shout, "I have to boil a few Jiwei shrimp and think about it for a long time". As soon as the words fell, my wife quickly snatched the plastic basin in my hand and poured the Jiwei shrimp that were hysterically trying to escape into the boiling water. And I, I can only get out of the way in embarrassment amid my wife's nagging!

I am not a believer in Buddhism, and I have never thought of accumulating good and longevity by not killing living beings, but in my heart, every life has brought more or less emotion and joy to these thousands of worlds! And the beauty and preciousness of life are due to the cherishing and love of companions or human beings around us!Now, I can fully imagine the tragedy of those shrimp before they die, and I know what their final fate will be, and I care a lot about their pain. However, as a layman, it is difficult for me to sincerely consider giving them a way out. I believe that if I can release them, it will definitely be a good deed for myself, and it will achieve the freedom, love and life of countless living beings.

These shrimp originally lived happily in the world intertwined with the sea or river surges, enjoying carefree love and joy, often sticking out their heads and smiling in the sun and breeze, and slowly swimming between the sea, canals and rivers with their bodies. However, human beings forcibly catch them, depriving them of their freedom and happiness, and even sacrificing their precious lives.

Speaking of good deeds and liberation, it reminds me of my own innocent days.

That summer, the fifth brother saw a turtle chilling by the pond in front of my house, so he happily brought it home. When I squatted down to look at this lovely elf carefully, I saw it looking at me with black bean-like eyes, and I saw its blankness and helplessness in its eyes, but unfortunately I didn't look forward to the turtle's language, otherwise, I would happily tell it: "What awaits you will be the emperor's enjoyment!".”

In order to let this turtle live in an environment of abundant food and clothing, the fifth brother stocked it in a water tank.

In the following days, the fifth brother returned from school, and the schoolbag had not been put down, and the first thing was to lead the little turtle to the sun-dried valley in front of the door. Somehow, the little guy didn't appreciate it, and was thinking about running away all the time. Although we have succeeded in bringing it back every time, it still tries day and night, eager to return to the waters where it used to live. Although I don't know if its sleepless climb is stupid or persistentOr maybe I don't know what to do!However, from its actions, I can see its longing for a free world, and also its longing for its homeland.

After living in our house for a while, the little turtle lost the vitality it had when it first arrived, and the shiny shell lost its original brilliance, and the lines and colors appeared dull and blurred. Placing it on the ground, it tentatively sticks its head out, looks around its surroundings vigilantly with its dark and godless eyes, and throws an unusually complicated expression at us, like anger and begging. I gently stroked the tortoise shell, cool and slippery, and my compassion suddenly grew: "Although the conditions here are good, they are not suitable for baby turtles." The little turtle seemed to understand my thoughts, and stretched out its head to look over the pond, its little mouth opened several times as if to speak, but unfortunately I could not understand. But maybe I understood its thoughts: "Let me go home!".I said to the fifth brother, "Since the fish pond is so attractive to it, why don't you let it go back?""Remembering that the little turtle was losing weight day by day during the time he lived in our house, the fifth brother also regretted bringing it back, so he decided to release the little turtle.

The fifth brother and I came to the pond and carefully lowered the little turtle into the water, and the turtle knew that it had entered its home, and with a not very graceful arc, it could not wait to swim into the pond, and it was nowhere to be seen in an instant.

A few days later, when I came home from school and passed by the pond, I was surprised to see the little turtle waiting for me under the poplar tree by the pond, and when it saw me, it stuck its head up and looked at me very kindly, its eyes kept flashing, alas!Little turtle, you have regained your former vitality! It turns out that you should play, play and enjoy the freedom of life under the blue sky and clear water! When I got home, I told my fifth brother the good news of the reunion with the little turtle, and I saw that the fifth brother's face was suddenly full of joy, and he proudly said, "The turtle is spiritual!"My release gave it its freedom! It came ashore to thank us!”

Not only the little turtle, all animals in the world have spirituality, and they all know how to be grateful. Cows eat grass and milk is milkedDog, give it a nest to help you guard a home......Turtles and shrimp catch pests, participate in the energy flow of this system of human survival and the circulation of inorganic substances, and help humans maintain a healthy ecosystem. Protecting animals is to let them help maintain the stability of the system of our existence, to protect nature, to protect us human beings, and to let them live, not only for the respect of a life, but also for the sake of a more comfortable, comfortable and happy survival of human beings.
