Beijing Chuangrong Times Art Center Lan Jia:In your Hong Kong-themed works, you have chosen specific scenes, such as "Street Rain", "Morning Light on Hong Kong Island", "Back Alley", etc., what is the special significance of these scenes to you?Can you share your inspiration** and thought process for choosing these scenes?
Lin Yiqi. The main thing is to express Hong Kong's themes that I like and can express, so that the outside world can understand more about Hong Kong, which is the integration of Chinese and Western cultures, and hope to have new feelings and recognition. The painting (Street Rain) depicts the crowded and orderly scene of the metropolis during the rainy season, with Hong Kong's traditional restaurants and the only old tram in the background, and busy crowds shuttling through the streets in the rain. Oil painting (Morning Light on Hong Kong Island) looks out at the quiet morning light of Hong Kong Island, with dark and cold tones in the foreground, and light orange warm colors in the distance of Hong Kong to achieve a strong contrast and a harmonious effect. After the morning light, there is a rush of returning workers in the busy traffic of Hong Kong. Oil paintings (back alleys) focus on different corners, the back alleys behind the snack shops that are not noticed, the color tones and layered feet make you feel different ideas, and the deep gray tones reveal the light of the distant scene.

Lin Yiqi. It can mainly express the multifaceted themes of Hong Kong, so that the outside world can understand more about the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.

Lin Yiqi. Hong Kong is a multi-member international metropolis with European and other cultures from all over the world, and at the same time, it is necessary to retain more of Hong Kong's traditional culture and the integration and exchange of international cultures, and look forward to a better Hong Kong painting art!
