This morning, the remains of the 10 th batch of martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers in South Korea arrived in Shenyang, which made people feel a lot of emotion and sigh. Their dedication has led to our happy and peaceful life today. With this emotion, I went home and turned out the commemorative medals in my collection, including three commemorative medals to resist US aggression and aid Korea (see the picture below).
These medals were discovered by accident ten years ago when I was wandering around the Fangcun Flower and Bird Market in Guangzhou (which no longer exists). On the counter of a shop that sells wood carvings, there is a large box with a pile of old watches, medals and other items. The boss told me that he didn't know about these things and didn't plan to ask for them, so I simply accepted them, and the boss didn't charge me anything. There are about 20 commemorative medals in this pile, and I deeply felt that each commemorative medal may carry a hero, a martyr, and a tragic story of war and bloody battle!I took them home, wiped them down carefully, and treasured them in the cupboard.
The first This medal is in the shape of a five-pointed star, with round teeth, and the front is *** The words "Commemoration of Resisting US Aggression and Aiding Korea" are below the head. The back is engraved with the words "Gift from the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (1951)".
The second medal is in the shape of a shield, with a side portrait of a person wearing a hat on the front, and the eight words "Award to the Heroes of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea" are above. The inscription "1955" is engraved on the back to indicate the year of the award.
The third medal is in the shape of a five-pointed star, supplemented by a pentagonal shape, with slightly rounded teeth, and the word "first class" is engraved below the front *** head. The back is engraved with the words "Jilin People's ** Award".
