When I was the custodian of the production team, I had a bad relationship with the masses, and even children chased and beat me. Although I didn't expect the captain to let me take on this errand, as a person with a pocket, a poor look, and a bad personality, it was inevitable that I would become everyone's punching bag and laughing stock. Not only was he chubby, but his eyes were so small that they had only one slit, and the children nicknamed me "Big Fat Pig". Every day is full of the difficult experience of being scolded and beaten.
As the custodian of the squad, I have an important responsibility. Although the level of work in this position is relatively high, it requires more effort. I've been working on the squad's horses, both in charge of the warehouse and in charge of feeding the sows three times. Despite the challenges at work, I still faced many difficulties. As an undesirable persona non grata, I was often severely reprimanded by the captain, and no slip-ups at work were my only options. Moreover, as the elder of the captain, he was even more unscrupulous with me. This made me feel very helpless and lost my dignity as a custodian.
Not only was I ostracized at work, but the masses in my life were also cold and sarcastic to me. As a newcomer, I was unfamiliar with most of the squad, and my appearance and personality were not attractive enough. The adults are still polite to me, save me some face, and don't dare to go against me too much. But the children had no scruples at all, they called me "big fat pig" and even shot me with a slingshot. I tried to teach them a lesson, but my father often looked at them without rebuking them. I understand that they just feel that these childish words are unscrupulous and undesirable. But for a person seeking dignity and recognition, such indifference and teasing are unbearable.
While being coldly and ridiculed, I often fell into emotions of impulsiveness and self-blame. I was often controlled by my emotions all at once, and I acted aggressively. For example, I could have chosen a more peaceful way to solve the problem, but I couldn't contain my anger after a long time. Of course, I also reflect on my excesses and regret what I did. But it's useless to feel guilty about myself, I'm just coming to this team, I'm not familiar with most of the people, and it's a long process to change their opinion of me.
Looking back on the experience, although it was full of challenges and difficulties, I persevered and tried to adapt to this new role. While I work as the team custodian and cash teller, I also try my best to do other chores so that the team can save a lot of money. Although in other teams, the custodian has a full-time scope, but as a handyman, I will do whatever the job. This made everyone recognize my ability and dedication, and it also made me slowly gain respect.
Although I faced a lot of difficulties during that period, when I look back on this experience, I realize that it was also my upbringing. This experience made me more resilient and strong, and taught me how to deal with difficulties and challenges. I learned not to be hurt by the ridicule and indifference of others, but to prove my worth and ability with my actions. This experience also made me more aware of the feelings of others, respecting and understanding the differences of others.
Today, I'm no longer the shy, timid person. I learned to be confident and persistent, and to use my own efforts to change the perception of me. I know that people's perceptions of appearance and personality are only superficial, and what really matters is a person's inner qualities and efforts. I believe that as long as I insist on doing my job well and use practical actions to win the respect and recognition of others, then I can maintain my self-esteem and self-confidence no matter what the outside world thinks of me.
Today, I am no longer the person who was cold and ridiculed, but a confident, strong and hard-working person. I have found my place and gained the recognition and respect of others. Whether it is work or life, I will treat it with my heart, keep improving, and prove my worth with practical actions. In the face of difficulties and challenges, I believe that I have the courage and ability to overcome them and achieve success.
