On December 21, 2023, on the eve of the winter solstice, I chose a special way to celebrate this special day – hiking through Nanshan, exploring the relics of the Anti-Japanese War, and feeling the blend of nature and history.

In the morning, I chose to take the subway loop line to Renje Station and started my walking tour. My destination is Namsan Mountain, a natural secret hidden in the city.

Departing from Inje Station, following the navigator, I began to follow the winding trail towards Namsan Mountain. Along the way, the sun shines through the gaps in the leaves, and the breeze blows on my cheeks, making me feel the warmth and tranquility of nature. After walking some distance, I found myself in the Anti-Japanese War Relics Park.

The Anti-Japanese War Relics Park is a witness to history, preserving many precious cultural relics and historical relics. As I walked through the park, I felt like I had traveled back in time to a war-torn era. I saw the old buildings and monuments that had survived the vicissitudes of life but still standing. I deeply admire these relics and make me cherish the peace and tranquility of the moment even more.

Leaving the Anti-Japanese War Relics Park, I continued to move forward and came to Nanshan. The mountain roads here are rugged and continuous, but the scenery is very beautiful. I climbed all the way up the mountain road and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the mountains. As I descended from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain, I was blown away by the sight in front of me. The Church of the Mother, a century-old Catholic church, stands out at the foot of the hill.

The Church of the Mother of Mercy is an ancient religious building dedicated to the statue of the Virgin Mary. When I walked into the church, I felt the solemnity and sacredness of religion. In this tranquil place, I felt the power of human faith and the dignity and value of life even more.

Finally, I took the bus back home. This trip allowed me to appreciate the beauty and magic of nature, and also gave me a better understanding of the history of the Anti-Japanese War and the local culture. I am sure this trip will be an unforgettable memory for me in my life.
