For new energy vehicles, AEB automatic emergency braking system is the key function of the majority of car enthusiasts and consumers. It is important to know that if an emergency occurs, the AEB system can be activated and braked in time, which can avoid many accidents and tragedies. For BYD, as one of the earliest car companies in China to study intelligent driving technology, it has indeed accumulated deep accumulation in this field. Recently, there was a braking test on the BYD AEB system on the Internet, and the results show this very well.
The BYD AEB test is mainly divided into three parts, namely the stationary front car during the day, the sudden disappearance of the front car during the day, and the stationary front car at night, which basically covers the vast majority of situations where the AEB system will be activated in high-speed driving conditions. First of all, in the test of the stationary car in front of the day, we saw that BYD was able to achieve perfect braking at a high speed of 130km h, setting a new record in the industry. You must know that at present, the vast majority of car companies can achieve AEB system braking under the condition of 60KMH, but 130KMH directly more than doubles the average speed of the industry, which is enough to show the leading edge of BYD's AEB system in distance perception and accuracy.
Next up was the daytime test with the car disappearing, and this time BYD was able to successfully brake with a time of 110 km h, demonstrating the excellent responsiveness of the AEB system. You should know that if you suddenly avoid or disappear in the case of high-speed driving, it is very easy to cause a serious rear-end collision of the rear vehicle. This requires the AEB system to not only be able to "see", but also to respond faster, and judging from the test results, it is clear that the BYD AEB system has done a very good job.
The third test is the stationary test at night. In the extreme situation of dark night, a new test is put forward for the reliability of the whole system, especially the perception ability of the vehicle is greatly reduced due to the reduction of external ambient light sources, and this test tests the perception stability of the AEB system. In this test, BYD successfully braked with a time of 100km h, once again proving its reliability.
It is worth mentioning that in the three tests, the braking distance of the BYD test vehicle was very short, and there was still a considerable distance from the target vehicle after a complete stop, breaking the AEB record with absolute strength. At the same time, although it is an emergency braking, the attitude control of the test car is also very good, and there is no sharp braking nodding. To have such an excellent performance, thanks to BYD's many black technologies, including Yi Sifang and Yun Yuan, etc., they have realized millisecond-level collaborative control of power and chassis, which not only shortens the braking distance, improves safety redundancy, but also controls the braking attitude of the body, and perfectly balances safety and driving comfort.
At present, BYD has been in the first echelon of the intelligent driving phalanx of new energy vehicles, especially the vehicle-level fusion perception platform proposed by the brand for the first time, which can integrate cameras, radars and other intelligent driving sensing data with vehicle-level real-time data, and realize the fusion and superposition of physical direct sensing of the vehicle and indirect sensing of software algorithms, bringing strong perception capabilities, and these are the technical basis for the AEB system we see. In the future, it is believed that BYD will continue to carry out large-scale investment and research and development in the field of intelligent and safe driving, and jointly promote the development of the intelligent driving industry to a higher level.
