Recently, many fans have reacted that after WPS updated the latest version, the good formula used before suddenly became Spill!, today I will share with you the solution to the problem.
1. The reason for the error.
#spill! There are many cases where errors occur, but the most common is when the formula overflows over an area that is too large.
WPS supports dynamic data from version 15990, and the biggest feature of dynamic arrays is that they can automatically overflow, and will generate corresponding results according to the search values and conditions.
However, many people habitually set the search value or condition to the whole column when using the function, and now the new version supports the automatic overflow of dynamic data results, and if the overflow area is too large, it will be displayed as spill!, as shown below.
Formula: =vlookup(f:f,a:d,3,0).
Second, the solution.
1.This error has been reported by many people in the WPS community in 15990, and in the latest 16120 version, this type of error value can be identified and corrected, and WPS** will give a hint, as shown in the figure below.
Click Yes, spill! It will become the correct result, just fill it down.
2.If you haven't upgraded to the latest version of WPS, the easiest way to fix it is not to use entire rows or columns as criteria for your lookup. According to that value, that value is used as a condition, and the sumif function is the same, as shown in the following figure.
Formula: =vlookup(f3,a:d,3,0).
In fact, in the final analysis, it is caused by the non-standard input of formula parameters, and now although the latest version of WPS has been able to achieve correct identification, it is still recommended that you standardize the input of formula parameters to avoid unpredictable errors.
